without a doubt disney will follow suitThis is wise. Consumers will flock to this. HBOMAX maybe has 15 million subscribers. By the end of 2021 with all these movies dropping they could have 150 million subscribers. This a game changer.
All the other studios will have to consider making this move.
I don't know how da fuq they gonna make this work for DUNE. They seem like they have to move the release up because I expect/hope by October (1st was the latest date they gave) most theaters that didn't close down completely will be operative anyway. It's gonna be tougher to get sequels. And HBOmax got no 4K...

Breh...I dunno either to be hyped or shytting myself because that's one hell of a power move.
They going to have to raise prices thoughNot as crazy as you think now since theaters in 2021 probably aren't going to do well and hbo max subs are looking really right now. AT&T probably hit warner with the

A good consumer move? What the hell are you talking about McFly?It is. It’s a good consumer move but the deadline article acknowledges Wonder Woman is going to lose money. Pretty sure the matrix will also along with Godzilla and Kong.
the person who figures out how to make movies at the same size and budget of Wonder Woman and tenet while also streaming will be lord and ruler of the world.
wouldnt be a bad move if they didnt give everybody free subscriptions.. LOL
its free with comcast, optimum.. any service where you pay for HBO

This is so obviously a business move all the way through. WB is betting all-in on HBO Max and they are clearly using 2021 as an accountancy year. Put films in theaters and on HBO Max at the same time, do the numbers on the increase subscribers while simultaneously checking how viable the theater game still is. And if those numbers aren't favorable to theater support this 'good consumer move' may very well lead to WB killing theater support altogether. I don't believe movie theaters will ever die but this really has the potential to push it into a niche corner.
When soft-pushing all consumers to your private streaming service with a monthly subscription turns into hard-pushing we'll see how much WB is thinking about the consumer.
they keep talking about the investor conference on December 10thwithout a doubt disney will follow suit
