AT&T don’t care about Theater it’s about sub
This. One 100% needs the other and not vice versa ESPECIALLY right now
AT&T don’t care about Theater it’s about sub
and I imagine the release of films on HBO Max for the first month is a solid strategy for subscription increases/good looking numbers.AT&T don’t care about Theater it’s about sub
I think the studios might be more looking into how to cut out the middle man and go direct to consumer. Universal has Comcast which has Peacock. Warner has AT&T which has HBO Max. Disney has Disney+. Paramount has CBSViacom who has Paramount+.
Warner Bros done spent BILLIONS in funding them movies. They WILL see a return on that investment theaters be damned.
t
You know all those production companies you see before the movie starts also paid for the movies. Like Legendary.
The signed contracts anticipating theater releases and money.
Even Joker was co-financed.
If this was just WB taking a risk with it’s own money I wouldn’t say a word.
I don’t know if this has been asked already as I haven’t read the entire thread but won’t online pirating affect them in a huge way? I mean Netflix shows are put on pirate sites the same day they are on Netflix.
Included at no extra costis this shyt gonna free to people who already pay for hbomax or are they gonna put these movies behind a paywall like Disney did with Mulan?
and now you attract more customers to AT&T.
*sees my stock price going up for T*

Netflix doesn't have a market cap bigger than Disney. And it doesn't hurt Netflix at all. They have 150 million subscribers and a market cap bigger than DisneySo the answer to your question is a resounding NO it will not affect them. Families aren't broke boys.
