its so much breh you just gotta go thru his whole catalouge to see the progress...i remember when i first heard of Max B on the MOB1 tape

i was like this the same nikka from babygirl & g'z up? wasnt really feeling him fully but his hooks were just he had 3 solo tapes out after MOB1 (public domain: the prequel, public domain 1: millon dollar baby radio, million dollar baby) mob2 dropped also but i still wasn't messing with him until this tape

then this dropped

then the classic PD3 dropped and max had the streets on smash

dropped this lowkey classic like a week after pd3

we got flooded with music around this tape when this dropped

linking with french around this tape with lead to coke wave

this may be his best tape tho pd5 - quarantine

then you got the last tape dropped right before jail

coke wave 2 was def rushed cause max was in jail once this dropped but still a good listen

and finally PD4 vigilante season..this was recorded when he did pd3 but didnt come out till after he went to jail because it turned into an album

I write this with somewhat of a regional bias because nikkas outside of the Tri-State can never fully comprehend what Max was and his movement. Many of us from NY, NJ such as myself and CT are able to understand and see where Max was headed because we saw it with 50. We saw it with the Dips. Its a certain aura and building in the streets where we can just tell that a certain artist is on his way to greatness, possibly KONY status. It aint no coincidence that people are still praising his music years after his incarceration. His contribution to the game from merely mixtapes is the stuff of legends.

really tho, max is a collector's artist. dude dropped like 80 tapes in 2 days(sike naw). you just gotta form your own list. i got a 3-disc collector's set of max, and theres prolly a disc worth of stuff that i could do without, but i can think of 2 discs worth of stuff that wasnt even included in the set.

just like with these max appreciation threads, alot of my favorite max joints never get mentioned. joints like the ones i mentioned in the 1st post and this right here:

His pen game is nice, and he really excels when he puts out album quality music instead of a mixtape track where he just blacks out.

I noticed Jones is doing that more with his Vampire Life series by doing more album quality music, because mixtape tracks are not cutting it anymore.

Since the South is the best at making lazy one dimensional music, rappers only making lazy mixtape cuts are competing with the lowest common denominator of fans who loves Migos, Future, and Chicago drill music.

yea max pen game is mad underrated. even by his fans.

i still aint check out the vamp life tapes. i kinda stopped paying attention to jones after '09. i almost copped a couple of them shirts tho, but i aint have the bread.
