It’s getting to a point where ANY black person with a decent job is going to be accused of being a diversity hire.

It's funny because you could replace "ADOS" with white men and black people with "Africans" in the above paragraph and the same would remain true. There are accounts dedicated to posting negativity about Africans by ADOS or at least people pretending to be ADOS all over Twitter and on this very forum, there are posts that claim Africans don't merit their position in American society (whether academia, business, professional fields etc) and are only being promoted to "replace" ADOS, which is eerily similar to the "great replacement theory". The irony is amazing.

My point? Who cares what they think. So a bunch of white people in a white echo chamber are being racist. And guess what? Water is wet. Ignore the bullshyt and keep doing what you as a black man need to do - which is to progress in the best way possible despite what society chooses to define you as.

Also, these discussions would not be had if we collectively came together, built black businesses from the ground up and supported one another. Literally, the whole' black people complaining in Hollywood' for instance is baffling to me, when there are enough black producers and actors in Hollywood to build their own studios. There are enough millionaire athletes, currently playing and retired to start their own leagues. There are enough black people in tech to start their own companies. What is stopping a group of young tech entrepreneurs from starting a rival app to Twitter that heavily moderates anti-black agendas?

You don't need to cry and sob about being talked about in white spaces. Just do what YOU need to do and forget them because a racist will look down on you regardless of your accolades.
It’s not about how they think, it’s about the lawsuits, and taking them to the Supreme Court, and the three Trump appointed Conservative judges. Once these programs are eliminated, it’s right back to “You’re just not good enough” which we know is just an excuse not to hire us.

This could have all been avoided if black people came out to vote for Sanders back in 2016 instead of Hillary who could only pander to black people in jive talk.

If you have DEI programs....don't you have diversity hires?
Does that mean they are not qualified? Diversity hires imply hiring someone just bc they fit a certain demographic regardless of qualifications and that is simply not true. Plus lots of time those diversity hires will be more qualified. The even more insidious shyt is companies already have positions where they target only white people they just don't blatantly highlight it. Just let the HR manager know in the hiring process

From what I understand, no not really. DEI programs tend to expand the recruitment pool.

A simple example would be a company that only held on campus interviews at pwis expanding their school list to include HBCUs.

Not at all...but they are in place to satisfy a quota

The issue I have with them is when you are trying to push an agenda

What you said is true....however that also applies to your hiring process and staff makeup.

We got a new new black VP some years back....I asked someone who worked in corporate comms about him....her exact words "dei" hire.

Before him there was only one other VP that was black and she was not in IT.

Now is he qualified?...from what I hear and see yes

Above the fray.

Yes. The "bu bu but you ONLY got it because of preferences" line was directly broadcasted on this forum towards children of Black immigrants. Those threads are still up.
Oddly, it seemed to come from the small segment of members who don't seem to take formal education seriously.

I 'm thinking your comment about Bernie Sanders was sarcastic. He would have gotten trounced. People who support his ideas seem to suspend logic when the topic of his electability comes up.
They had to drag Biden out of retirement because he was the only Dem. with a practical shot at beatng Trump. Otherwise Donald would be completing his second term now, and likely trying to bend the laws to remain in office for a 3rd.
