Yet The Source awarded Miseducation Album of the Year like they did Ready To Die.

:whoo:
Ether!
There's notable Hip Hop albums that weren't rated. They didn't give a mic rating to All Eyez On Me until 2002. I'm not sure if they even rated 7 Day Theory at all. They rated Nas's Lost Tapes in the alternatives section too.

Stop, u killing'em

I proved his point?

Wtf are u talking about?

:what:

Dude said nikkas today know Biggies verses and i posted a video proving him wrong.

U quoted me talking about nikkas not knowing Biggie lines. How the hell did u just change the quote ? What does quan not knowing Biggies verses on an award show have to do with that same award show not honoring Lauryn or Foxy?

Those r 2 different things fool.:mindblown:

So Foxy isn't hip-hop either since she wasn't honored as well:camby:

Oh - you're problem is you can't read.

Dude said that niccas today are saying Biggie's verses...you posted a video where that's happening.
Not only that...that was at a venue that wasn't even supposed to be about Biggie. They could've did that whole Kim tribute
without a Biggie verse, but they didn't. That proves ol' dudes' point.

Also, nobody said Lauryn "isn't hip-hop" - what was said by the majority is that Miseducation is not much of a hip-hop album.

So again - you need to step your reading game up.

P.S.: LMAO @ you doing all this, then making another thread saying The Roots don't have a mainstream hip-hop hit.

People need to understand how important MC Lyte's Eyes on This LP was. This was the quintessential MC LP... bar no gender. This was the 1st time a female emcee transcended and blinded gender. This album was that HARD. Straight up lyricism over dope beats. Sick wordplay throughout, creative storytelling, one of the GREATEST DIS songs ever made, and no filler whutsoever. Nothing about this album is wack to include the album cover.

Wrong.

The fact ol boy didnt even know the verses proves him wrong.

Think for a sec, quan didnt know Biggie lines even after rehearsing?

:russ:

Dude rehearsed and still didnt know the lines.:mjlol:

And u losing points for defending that sad and insulting performance in any shape or form. Dude basically didnt have enough respect to learn the song but u over here defending that disgrace :pacspit:

Again, you can't read.

I didn't "defend" Quan's performance anywhere. The fact is this - he was asked to perform a Biggie verse -
at an event celebrating female rappers. That shows how respected a Big verse is.
Ain't nobody out here performing Lauryn Hill verses...not even Lauryn. lol

Again u going off topic now u talkin about Biggie love.

Stay on topic

He was asked to performe a song he didnt know. Botomline, he didnt know Biggies verses which prove ol boy I quoted was wrong.

Stop going off topic to talk about him performing a Biggie verse or the fact that Lauryn wasn't honored

quan didnt know Biggies verses like ol boy I quoted said. Period end of story.

That's debateable...but, it's been 18 years and that's the only example you have?

Kinda hard to debate when he cites her as an influence.

Even if it stopped at the fanfare/awards, the impact of Miseducation is undeniable, but it's not a rap album nor should it be compared to rap albums, female or otherwise.

Im gonna play the same weird game @SunZoo plays and dap every post that opposes everything he says even if he's correct

I don't pay attention to your daps, Chester.

I dap people who make points I agree with. You're the one looking around for people to validate your opinion.

Yes, let's do that.

The topic is: You think there's only 1 universally accepted classic rap album from a female. You are wrong.

:francis:

17 daps in the op compared to you saying i'm wrong.

Who am I gonna believe? :russ:

Yo.

U know why i've reduced to dismissing u as a 'whiteboy'

I'll explain.

Back in the day white nerds didnt just come into a conversation started by a big blackman and start hurling insults.

Yet on the Internet You've used name calling 3 times in a conversation i started yet i haven't name called you nor any other opposing posters once.

Why?

Because I wouldn't do that if we were face to face.

You on the otherhand r fake. I've neverhad a whiteboy talk greasy to me even in the army. So when u do it so easy online its fake.

You're fake because you would watch your words if we were face to face.

This is blackmusic and you r a visitor/guest. This ain't your home.
