Illegal screens happen. Looney is considered a good screener and he got called for illegal screens throughout the playoffs and finals.

Again harping on rebounds, did you see Wiseman give up any offensive rebounds when he was on the floor?

You’re excited to point out how many fouls he had, if he’s fouling then that means he never had a chance to grab a rebound because the other team is at the free throw line or inbounding the ball…..

Not sure why you posted his points, he was extremely efficient, he just didn’t get many touches…
1. I gave the entire statline points included. I actually don’t care if he’s a scorer or not. That won’t be his role in a Kerr system
2. If he set good screens, I’d be fine with some illegal ones. But he sets BAD screens. The overwhelming majority of his screens aren’t good. He has a tendency to even SLIP screens. He’s a bad screener. Looney, on the other hand is an excellent screener. He does get called for them but he sets way more excellent screens than bad or illegal ones. Same deal with Bogut, and even Ezeli.
3. The warriors played 11 guys last night. Of all the guys that played, he was 3rd from the bottom in rebounds. Again, there’s no arguing HIS POSITIONING ON THE COURT is bad. He doesn’t fight through physicality to get positioning. We have empirical data to show that he isn’t good on the boards. You’re debating against history at this point. He’s not a good rebounder
4. He’s way too foul prone still. There’s no denying that. He was foul prone in the NBA also. That hasn’t changed. Once again, your debating against history and empirical knowledge
5. He doesn’t do anything that a triditional big man is supposed to do so far. He doesn’t bang in the paint, doesn’t score in the post, doesn’t set screens nearly as well as he’s supposed to, and doesn’t rebound well at all. Those are RUDIMENTARY elements of being a big man on the NBA.

He’s more or less the same player he was coming into the league, which is fringe role player

You would think Wiseman has been in the league for 5 years the way you’re saying “history”. One of the moving screens that you’re saying he slipped, the announcers admitted McClung left too early. The center gets penalized for it.

I saw a post on Reddit saying Wiseman average 5.8 rebounds in 21 minutes in his rookie season. Meanwhile last year Looney, a vet averaged 7.2 in 21 minutes.

Let’s watch the games play out. By next offseason we will have a better idea of who is right.

He can still play 30 minutes a game but he's getting days off, he's about to be 35 years old
And yet if he stays healthy he'll still play more games than he did last season - go figure. All Steph, Klay and Dray will play more games than they did last season, that's why your initial post doesn't make any sense. I don't know why you're having such a hard time understanding this.

If the Warriors go from winning 53 games where Steph, Klay and Dray don't play even one game together, surely you can see how they can potentially win more games by playing 60-70+ games together?

Well let's see who's right at the end and according to your track record it looks like I'm in Great Shape. The Big 3 got miles on them, and the post season is a long grind just like the season, and the post season is more physical. Not only that the off season is really damn short, Klay is going to be 33, Curry is going to be 35 and Draymond going to be 34, they been the Wars, crazy injuries. The Window is closing on their playing careers, Kerr knows that and they want them healthy and Fresh during these last few years. They will take days off.

Problem is, cats have been dishing the excuses for him every step of the way when he still looks the same. Summer League or not, that isn't going to change. You think miraculously come the start of the season he's going to be a different player?

He is what he is, and it shouldn't take three years for folks to acknowledge that.

He has to stay healthy, he has to play. From what I saw... if he can just learn to stay on the floor and not jump on pump fakes, box out... he's ready to play THIS YEAR. Offense will take care of itself the more playing time he gets. Defensive rim protection and vertically is all he needs to learn and he's gotten marginally better at that.

They'd make it work.

If this last season proved anything, it proved that essentially any type of player of any capability can be the best versions of themselves on this team. GS still would've won the championship if they traded Wiggins because whoever came in place of him would be their best self, and guys like Kuminga, Moody or whoever else would've stepped up and taken on a more of a role.

What would be folks saying right now about Wiggins if he was still stuck in Minnesota?

I have no doubt that if Ben was on this team (and he was healthy), that he too, would change the perception of who he is. 98% of players in the league would be able to do the same in this system/culture. You surround KD, or Bron, or any other star with this support cast in a different environment and they wouldn't have won a title last season. I've reiterated time and time again, but that is the power of Steph.

He can turn nearly a bum into a respectable player; he can turn a mid-tier support cast into a championship one.

it's definitely the power of Steph, which is why I'm not sweating Wiseman right now. Dubs won a chip without him. I didnt think it was possible for Steph to win a ring without a front line shot blocker which is why I was so upset with Wiseman absence but he did it. He needs reps, that chips buys the Warriors time to develop youngins.
I didn't think Poole would be a contributor in his 2nd season, but he became an integral 6th man in his 3rd. I'm going to allow time and health to do the work for Wiseman. This 4th chip bought him a season's worth of development.

Is Kuminga still playing like that cursed scout report back when he got drafted, or did Dray already smack him upside the head for his SL bullshyt?
