You'd think some brehs would hold up on the Wiseman hate after being absolutely wrong about Wiggins, but nope, full steam ahead.
This is hilarious this shyt has got as many daps as it does when Wiggins has absolutely nothing to do with Wiseman, never mind the fact that Wiggins didn't live up the hype as the #1 pick, and he eventually became a role player. I can only imagine the goalposts will be moved to the point where folks are looking for apologies when Wiseman turns into a role player (after not living up to the hype).

:dead:

While we're at it, why don't we bring up recent drafted players like Paschall, Bell, Jones, McCaw, Ezeli, Evans etc who didn't amount to anything despite folks gassing them up. They seem to be of more relevance given that they were actually drafted by the Warriors, and not players who were drafted from other franchises who were perceived to be busts and then turned their careers around on another team in a more reduced role.

Exactly.

Bench Simmons might have been able to actually realize his potential and become a younger Dray. But his core issues would very likely still remain. The fit just ain't good.

It's just not reasonable to double down on your team's weakness and hope it'll work out.
Simmons is the prototype 6’10 pf/c for the warriors but dude is damaged goods and I’m not talking about his back. If u could inject drays passion into him he would be a lesser Lebron.

I ain’t say anything but the guy needs to grab some rebounds because 2 at the half wasn’t good enough. He proceeded to grab 0 more in the next 2 quarters. Fighting for positioning against a bunch of 6’3-6’5 guys shouldn’t be too hard considering he’s 7’1 but I guess when the ball doesn’t bounce your way, there’s nothing u can do :yeshrug:

I don’t see how that’s controversial

But to your point, I can’t imagine wiseman becomes the next David Robinson, or Gianni’s, or whoever else he has been compared to. He will be a role player :francis:

Put in the work! It's going to be a battle between Looney and Wiseman for The Starting Center spot
Wiseman needs more reps and playing time with the young core, I doubt he'll be starting much this season. Man came off a major injury too.

I still believe he'll be great soon, but let's not act like this isn't his first real season. :manny:

The post of a sad, pitiful man. Dude was literally just talking about the Dubs winning imaginary games with an imaginary roster. 😭

You literally said his ceiling is Hasheem Thabeet like 2 days ago. You and blueheffner are Wiseman’s biggest doubters. I’m not counting Gil because he’s not an actual Warriors fan. You keep harping on the rebound thing when the truth is people are quick to call you out from you’re overall history of wiseman hate.

didn't see the summer league game but saw the first minute and wiseman got an alley oop dunk from kuminga, a block and hit a 3 :wow:

if wiseman, kuminga and moody can fill in for GP and porter jr and even contribute more than the league is in trouble.

No i said he's looking more like Hassan Whiteside than any star player. I'm a wiseman DOUBTER, not hater.

I've said he's afraid of contact, can't rebound, can't catch the ball, can't set screens, can't play defense w/o fouling. He hasn't done anything on a fundamental level. If you think that is incorrect, you're lying

I referred to a reddit post that showed how bad he made his teammates on the court, statistically.

The things i've been harping on before his summer league debut:
-Can he set screens well?
-Can he rebound?
-Can he defend without fouling?

He set ONE good screen all game (2 illegal screens. One of them was him just shoulder checking another player)
he got TWO rebounds all game, as the biggest and tallest man on the court (the spurs got 12 offensive rebounds with him in the game, so i dont wanna hear that he was boxing out, especially since the Spurs got 4 offensive rebounds with wiseman OFF the court)
he got 7 fouls in 19 minutes of play, including 2 offensive fouls and fouled Josh Primo on the 3pt line

so outside of the first 3 minutes where he had:
5pts
1 rebound
0 fouls
1/1 3pt
2 blocks

he finished the game with:
11pts
2 rebounds
7 fouls
1/1 3pt
2 blocks

Y'all see everything as hate if it's not showering praise. We all want the team to be successful, but blowing smoke up the asses of grown men is pointless. If a player is playing well, I'll say it. if he isn't im gonna say that as well

Illegal screens happen. Looney is considered a good screener and he got called for illegal screens throughout the playoffs and finals.

Again harping on rebounds, did you see Wiseman give up any offensive rebounds when he was on the floor?

You’re excited to point out how many fouls he had, if he’s fouling then that means he never had a chance to grab a rebound because the other team is at the free throw line or inbounding the ball…..

Not sure why you posted his points, he was extremely efficient, he just didn’t get many touches…

This upcoming season is going to be year That Steve Kerr is really going to get his Greg Popovich on and we going to see Curry, Klay & Draymond resting a lot of games.

During the season it's going to be The Youngins Wiseman, Looney, Moody, Minga, Poole getting majority of the minutes.

I don't expect The Warriors to be 1st Seed, 2nd Seed or 3 Seed because this season is about transitioning to the Future while still playing in the present. Playoff time The Big 3 are going to be well rested the youngins will be battle tested and ready for a Championship run. Warrior's are going to be back to back champs

The Strive for Five

The Dynasty Continues
Bro Curry Bering playing 30 mins a game for like the past 7 years… that will continue :mjlol:
