I know a bar in Manhattan that attracted too many black people for their liking so they stopped carrying Hennessy. Worked like a charm.

Anyway, I think Idris would make a great Bond. I'm also tired of asking white people for stuff. There's enough black money and creativity to make our own espionage/action franchise.

This..Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson decide to cast a black actor to be James Bond, great but if not, just do our own thing. Imagine a guy like Steve McQueen directing and writing a movie about a black spy

I agree Daniel Craig was already a step in a new (the wrong) direction looks-wise as far as continuity goes. However, the point is: James Bond is not just a code name. He's supposed to be the same person in every movie, as ridiculous as that may seem. If he were just a code name, you'd be right and a black Bond would be due. But it's not. So a black 'Bond' would have to be a black 00 agent who is not James Bond. But then, what would be the point? Would we need a spinoff for every race and every sort of physical feature? Of course not.

That's why I said if, being that it's up for debate.

If that's true then it's no point in even arguing for a black actor, and you're right I don't want a black, 006 spin off, it would be better to come with an original angle.

anyhow the jason bourne series seems to be the american version of james bond and truth be told i'd rather have a black lead in one of those movies than a black bond..
