The new bond doesn't look like james bond to me, nikka looks like something out of MADD magazinge or something.
Bottom line is if James Bond is just a code name and not an actual person this shouldn't be an issue, especially concerning Idris as Bond because bytches across the globe love him, he won't have to fake the accent either.
I'm not for this make a black version of everything shyt either, i'd much rather just come up with original stories and characters than try to make superman black or some shyt, but this isn't the same.

That is why Sony and the Hollywood execs wont do it. They're better off just using another 00 that has no pre-conceived notions attatched. 008 was one of Bond's good friends and regarded by Bond to be even more careful than him. M also revered him with high regard and threatened to replace Bond with him. That means he's a capable agent and just as good as Bond, however the character has only ever been mentioned in passing, we dont know his personality, traits or what he even looks like. This character would be original,accepted and allow the actor to implement some defining characteristics and straits.
I agree Daniel Craig was already a step in a new (the wrong) direction looks-wise as far as continuity goes. However, the point is: James Bond is not just a code name. He's supposed to be the same person in every movie, as ridiculous as that may seem. If he were just a code name, you'd be right and a black Bond would be due. But it's not. So a black 'Bond' would have to be a black 00 agent who is not James Bond. But then, what would be the point? Would we need a spinoff for every race and every sort of physical feature? Of course not.
