vol.1 had the best of jay and the worst of jay all wrapped up in one album. IWW had for the most part was high quality all the way thru except for black girl lost which isn't that bad of a song. It wasn't nas at his best but far from his worst.

Volume 1 got like 2 terrible songs and 1 or 2 average ones, the rest is pure dopeness. On IWW, Nas is Coming is kind of wack and Affirmative Action is average to me, everything else is dope. IWW wins, but i love Volume 1, never understood why it got so sh!tted on

The Message is one of the my favorite songs on It Was Written, If I ruled the world isn't far behind.

The hook on "City is mine" is dope though, that gets a honorable mention. That song has driving in the summer time, chilling with you're lady vibe.

Vol 1 has some bangers like "Where I'm from" and "A million and one questions" but I'm riding with It Was Written in this thread.
