Not ideal, but we got a 1B. Hopefully it works out. Only a 1 year deal.
Bellinger now stays in CF. Now we need to address 2B/3B and leadoff hitter. The Martian needs to step up in LF.
Keeps us in the running for the Japanese dude and Tucker next offseason. We'll see

At least it’s just a 1 year deal. They can cut bait real quick if it doesn’t pan out. There weren’t a lot of big moves to make at first base this winter. Maybe they can pull off a big trade at third or second now at least.

I woulda rather just gone in with Rice, but Murakami feels realistic now and I’d love to see this team work on building a new core while the existing one is here.
2B/3B is interesting because whoever is alongside Jazz could be here beyond a year.

One of my favorite players ever...especially when he played for us. Him, Winfield and Mattingly were quite a tandem. He made the game fun and entertaining. I remember when he bulked up to start hitting HRs lol, and did it well too, while still causing havoc on the base paths.

I doubt that he’s available in a trade and I’m sure he’d cost a lot, but they should call the diamondbacks about Ketel Marte. He would fill a lot of needs on this team and could fit nicely as a 2 or 4 hitter in the lineup. He’s also not being paid some insane amount.
