IT: Chapter Two Official Thread

It was just Ok. It's the actors, with Hader & McAvoy in the lead, that carry an otherwise mediocre movie. They could've trimmed the 45min solo missions, and that opening scene was pointless...shouId've followed the girl, and had something with the boy. The Pennywise scenes are great when it's just Skarsgard doing his thing, but then it turns into comedy with the overuse of CGI. Less is more. Overall, while it does serve its purpose, the comedic moments come at such a pace that you really don't get a chance to let the scares marinate. It happens so much that you come to expect it.

I hate how fukking cartoony some of the monsters looked. I gave Andy the benefit of the doubt last time given that it was the first movie, but we doing this again? Really?

Because Andy Muschietti is goddamn trash. The leper in both films is a good example of a character that could've been so easily achieved with practical effects, but for whatever reason they CG'd the fukk out of him and it just looks awful.

Everybody was dying when Bill almost got hit by the car

The CG on the kids wasn't really that bad, the girl who played Bev looked like she didn't have CG at all.

The transitions were dope as well

Once again, the first 15 minutes of the film is intense as hell and sets a tone that the rest of the movie just cannot keep up with.

Eddie looked exactly like Joaquim as the new Joker


Overall, the movie just felt like a long special effects showcase
