But since I only have 1.5 yrs of experience, it's been hard to away from entry level role which because of my stubbornness is the reason im still not working

Even with an A+,Net+, and a Aws saa cert, I keep losing to people with more experience

Looks like I have to take my pride off the table and take a level 1 position and get more years under my belt but while I do that I will cert and learn

I understand that experience is key but I want it all now lol

I do feel like if I was somewhere else like florida or Texas then the job hunt would be easier

Just paid for OSCP 90 day lab access

Think it said April 4th start. Brehs this is the perfect time to skill up.

Do you have a background in pentesting? I'm looking into taking the OSCP myself so I'm spending this time going through some systems on HtB and Vulnhub. I got a lot of improvement to do before I'm ready for it though.

Job search is on pause for the meantime. The virus fukked everything up and being in NYC makes it worse. But thankfully I was able to apply for unemployment a month ago before all of this so I'm ok for now.

Im doing

CCNA training with labs
Sysops training with labs

Will eventually start doing the udemy questions for the sysops

I'm not looking to get a ccna cert since I have Net+ so my big focus will be the labs and learning material not covered in the Net+

The new CCNA isn't just networking so it's worth looking into imo.

I should reword my post. It's networking but it's more than just routing and switching. They now have sections for security and automation in it.

I'm in security consultant, blue team so the red team side of things is pretty new to me.

I've been using a course by thecybermentor's on udemy as a precursor and htb.

Im willing to spend more £ extending the labs but rn I got nothing but time on my hands

Lol I'm a security analyst but everything is exactly the same. I'm pretty new still so I'm going to spend the next month or two going through the boxes that people have recommended for OSCP practice. Once I complete them I will sign up for it.

Might need to go all in on this cloud cert grind. Might have to register for DevOps pro(AWS), cuz not really getting hits as such with solution architect and dev on my linkedin. Also gonna start looking into Azure and Kubernetes Admin (CKAD) cert
