Tell me this tho, whats the point in getting a voucher if you only saving 15-18 dollars. $175 retail vs $160 voucher
to save $15-18 dollars?

Has anyone used brain dumps (i.e. examcollections)?
Unless you're in a high-end role that already knows the material and your job is requiring a cert using brain dumps is a waste of time and money. What you going to do if gets you a job and you don't know how to do it
The waste of money is paying for an exam where you don't know the material
What are you going to do during a technical interview when someone asks you questions you should know based on your certs and you got no answers?
I'm just trying to help you out for later. You might be able to pass off A+ knowledge at a job/interview but if you start doing MS/Cisco certs with this mentality people will see right through it.
folks the more money is in networking/programming.
Fixing PC is a joke. Anyone can do it which means low wages
Go for the Cisco and programming certs after the A+ if you plan on eating good
i planned on gettng the network+ cert after the A+. so you are saying if I want to get into networking I should jump straight to getting the Cisco certs instead?
how can you say I dont know the material when I just explained to you in my previous post 3 different ways I go about studying the material
Where plenty of people make an mistake starting out in IT by concentrating on testing material to pass an certification exam only. Little or not time is spent actually learning the technology via hands on experience. If I had to do it all over again I wouldn't waste my money taking lots of certification exams. I would study the test material but concentrate more on building virtual labs to gain hands on experience.
You can create some pretty decent learning environments using Vmware or Virtualbox on your home PC if you've got an decent enough computer. Practically every enterprise software companies use has an evaluation version you can run free for several months. After it expires just start over building and configuring the system until you know it inside and out. Certifications are only the end all and be all for idiot companies who don't know how to properly screen their own applicants.
The thing is though, how are you supposed to prove you know the technology outside of certs? Saying that you did something on a virtual machine probably won't get you an interview, much less a job. Sad fact is that your resume will often get tossed w/o the right certs.
