I really dont get how some people land their jobs

This one indian dude is being given tasked and he cant do the simplest shyt.

Cant use MS Word to create an SOP when he was given a template and I already showed him multiple times.
Cant use excel
Cant use One Note
Cant use Google to look something up
Doesnt ask questions before doing shyt;

Doesnt even try to figure shyt out, just pings me through teams all day long trying to monopolize my time with this bullshyt

and he admitted last week that he's trying to avoid getting exposed and fired. Which I figured out by the 2nd week he was here

He was already being brought up for possible termination by the principle engineer, but I'm guessing he either groveled enough or me not throwing him under the bus saved him. either way i'm thinking dude needs to get bushed,

Principle Engineer (My lead) and client infra team keep finding his fukkk ups in the environment.

This nikka thinks I'm going to facilitate his outright incompetence when a breh could've had his position?

he's too much of a jittery, no-mouthpiece having dunce, so I dont know what he could have possibly said in the interview to get the job.

I already want to leave for other reasons, but this shyt is really motivating me to jump ship

I hate to generalize but my experience working with most Indians has been mostly ineptitude, double that if they're a contractor. Just like you I don't understand how they land these jobs. Then when they do have the job, they're too headstrong to admit they don't know something. They need step by step, copy/pastable instructions and tasks that have zero room for deviation. So far I've only dealt with that could really walk on their own, and one of them headed off to Amazon not too long ago.

Pretty similar experience here. Have worked with maybe 2-3 that I felt could be given real tasks whereas the others had to have their hand held. And what's worst is not just the incompetence, but some just lack common sense. I had a coworker just blindly give out credentials to a system he doesn't manage to someone else who doesn't manage it. And as of today he still has a job:dwillhuh:

I am starting to realize myself that just having a great resume, certs, and great interview skills are not enough. You need more.
Enough if you want to live comfortable but if you want to be like breh, you have to be able to see where there's a gap and fill it. Like breh mentioned, people kept asking him how to implement PCI so he created training for it.

Most companies I've worked could care less if the internal IT employees we're competent or not. They would hire consultants or vendors to do any real technical work anyway. They mainly want to hire YES men or people much dumber than them. Who will help cover up their mistakes when shyt hits the fan.

Man don't even get me started on Indians in IT! :snoop: I could literally write a whole Netflix series on these dunces.

Even something as simple as arranging access to a datacentre they keep fukking up despite having done it literally thousands of times. You get there, security tells you no access has been arranged, so you call them (the Indians) up or email them and tell them look this was supposed to have been arranged a week ago, wtf is going on? Everybody is stuck on stupid. Yet literally every time you tell them you're now leaving site because you've been waiting for over an hour so you won't be doing the job, then magically one of those fools suddenly remembers how to do their job and arrange the access for you to get in the building. By then, nealy two hours of your time is wasted when you could have already done been halfway through your job or finished and left. Now you're forced to drive or take the train through peak rush hour traffic when it could have easily been avoided.

The Indians for tech support who work for Deutsche Bank and Standard Chartered Bank are probably the WOAT you have to deal with. :scust: Literally dumb as a pile of rocks.

It's funny cause one of the reasons I started getting really into IT was because of a horrible customer service experience with an Indian IT guy .I figured I could do the shyt by myself if I just googled the problem, cause no disrespect he seemed clueless and his accent made me not understand him clearly. I figured if the IT industry is hiring nikkas who don't know shyt, maybe it would be easier for ne :mjlol:

Funny thing is I was right. My coworkers for my first IT job had degrees/certs and everything, while I had zero experience and none of that other stuff. I just had a mouthpiece and knew how to Google and follow directions :ohhh:. I was applaued when they came to me asking me questions I didn't know and wod get the answer off Google later in the day with them acting suprised that I knew it :mjlol:

No point in being in upper management. I have seen so many heads get chopped off at my company it is ridiculous.

Man I told my team every time that I Google everything. "Obreh how do you fix this error?" Copy and paste that shyt verbatim into Google :unimpressed:. "Thanks Obreh, you always figure it out." All I did was Google it :skip:
