Might need yall help for an issue...

This guy has a windows 7 laptop that cannot be upgraded because his apps are funky on windows 10. He wants his user account on the PC removed from the domain and changed to a local account without losing his profile. He has old software used for testing that cannot be lost in the process...

would i be able to make this change just by backing up his ish, and then removing and changing his user account to local?

After a 10-11 year decent career in sales I’m officially studying for my A+ certification via Udemy Mike Myers course

Love the sales money and people skills I’ve developed from it , but I’m really burning out on volatile “what have you done got me lately” nature of sales. I am also tired of selling products that aren’t my own that I truthfully don’t care much about. Also sales is a young man’s game and I’m not getting any younger. Figure if I’m going to make a move , it’s got to be now otherwise I’ll be stuck in sales forever

I have a degree in BIS so hopefully getting back in the swing of things isn’t too horrible. Wish me luck fellas.

This is going to be a nightmare to support. I would find out the exact issues with the apps he needs and look at getting them resolved. Taken the device off the domain is going to make your life hell.

@JT-Money what are your thoughts on the solarwinds hack? Security is hot topic now
Solarwinds probably doesn't survive this hack. Next year you'll see a flood of new cybersecurity regulations from the Feds. And increased hiring of cybersecurity professionals at companies due to the regulations.

I've been saying on here for months most companies are sitting ducks for hackers. They haven't spent nearly enough money or resources on cybersecurity. And this hack will just expose that fact.

I might even postpone getting out of the cybersecurity field to do a quick cash grab next year. Because companies will be forced to increase hiring and salaries for Cybersecurity Professionals. Why not cash in on these companies stupidity and laziness.

Yep. Cybersecurity is an afterthought until something happens. It's going to be red alert for a lot of companies. Just imagine all the tools that hackers will now have access to because of this hack. This is just the beginning.

I wonder how may more APTs are lying in wait. I KNOW there are other companies out there who have been hacked and haven't said anything yet. Interesting times we are in right now.

We always say it's not about stopping the hacks, its about minimizing the damage when you do get hacked. Most companies don't have the resources to tell if they've been compromised.

Better get those AWS certs now because they about to change the exams from multiple choice to simulation this Summer. They won't be so easy to pass on knowledge alone. You'll need hands on experience to pass them in the future.
