I'm interviewing for jobs now. And it's never been easier to schedule so many since everything is remote. I wish I never have to go back to face-to-face interviews. The more interviews I schedule in a row the better I get at them.

You can do the ham radio license tests and maybe a wireless cert like CWNA but you won't understand the calculus behind the tech.
Usually yes, but I took a Beta exam. So whenever they decide to give out scores I guess I'll find out.

Got in contact with someone, saw their successes in the field and I started asking questions.I didn't enroll in anything yet. Just looking what's out there as far as online schooling is concerned.
I just want to try something different while I'm still WFH. I got some down time and wanted to use it to learn something new. I don't know anything about IT but I'm interested in getting into the field in the future. Cyber security is gaining my interest.
Do you mind pointing me in the right direction or do you know any online resources I can use to get my feet wet?
One thing to probably look into is what domain of cybersecurity you're interested in and how you seek to get experience. You could take the grifter route and find a help desk role and build or start fundamentally with an entry level cert. Thats what I did.

Yeah Splunk core user is one of them. We use multiple SIEMs, so we would need to cop 2 siem certs plus either the SSCP or Sec+ to get the bonus
The Spunk user cert isn't bad and the training should still be free on their website. Not sure what other SIEM certs you can take without being a customer.
Yea I get splunk for free on a corporate account
I used to talk our Splunk rep into giving me a Dev license that lasts 6 months. That way I can configure it on a VM and not worry about breaking anything.
