I havent been actively looking since i been at my recent gig but i been getting hit up by recruiters on LinkedIn every week pretty much since starting (this was oct). During covid shyt seemed like it picked up. But thats probably because of my skillset/title

idk if others have seen different but shyt looks good to me :yeshrug:

Bet I'll be moving there in a year. I'll be working in Devops/SRE so im sure that Market is fine

Yeah if you got the skills then you should have no trouble getting a SRE role :whew:

Crazy you mentioned that I been thinking my next major move will be to transition over to a full blown SRE. With the way the industry is going those type of roles will continue to eat well. Working the SRE's at my current job I can do everything they do at this point. Plus I understand infra very well being a cloud network engineer.

Good shyt. You're pretty much good to go. Just work on some SRE projects and add that to your resume. Im glad that at as a tech my job allowed me to help with AWS, Docker & Kubernetes.

Hopefully moving to the graveyard shift soon for the remainder of my service desk time. No one calls in and you get paid more. Since I'm naturally a night owl this will make the job more tolerable.
:mjcry: I’m a zombie by 7am but it’s totally dead at night:wow:. Need a minor change to 7 pm to 3 am instead of a fully overtime shift.

Congrats! I'm in my last rounds of studying/reviewing and getting close to picking a date. Have any tips or suggestions?
Hmm, what resources are you using?

I used the Darril Gibson security book (with extensive note taking) and TestOut.
I didn’t get to finish the TestOut Course, only went through 7/9 modules and skipped most of the labs, but I felt if I had taken my time and finished I could’ve passed my Security+ test wayyyyy earlier, perhaps without even reading the book. It’s pricey (I forgot to cancel the free trial :snoop:) but I thought it was worth it.

As far as the test today, I skipped all the labs then came back to them with 30 mins left in the test. Helped with time management.

good luck!!
