How old are the charges? For the federal jobs requiring clearances, they only go back a set number of years, like 7 or 10, for most things.

I'd say download the sf85/sf86 and look at the questions. I had my share of juvenile shyt too but I'm 35 now and haven't had any problems getting federal jobs.

charges would be from 2009-2010 , so 10 years ago . I was 14-15 at the time , im 26 now . im gonna download that document, good lookin breh

what cert can i work on getting immediately that'd get me a remote job by september?
Probably the easiest to get would SOC Analyst because of the turnover rate and crappy hours. And you would need more than 1 cert most likely. But people quit these jobs faster than companies can fill them especially at MSSP's like Dell Secureworks.

GCIH, CEH, ITIL, Splunk,

are there deals on exams or is it one set price all over?

how much do these certs typically cost altogether?
The training for the Splunk user cert is free. But the exam cost like $125 now when it used to be free also.

Everything else is gonna be hundreds of thousands of dollars. But you probably only need 1 cert to get you're foot in the door. And then make your employer pay for training and certs.

I think both elearnsecurity and CompTIA certs are the cheapest Security certs.

I think the CySA+ is like $350 but you can probably find vouchers to cut the price almost in half. With just two certs that could be enough to get an entry level job and have them pay for some real training. Then you can flip these types of jobs ever year for more money or better training. Companies are so afraid of getting hacked many are forced to hire SOC folks to keep watch over everything.

1st Round Playoff Exits
If any of y’all want my Sec+ reading materials and notes, just shoot me a pm for a reminder, I got you.

fukked up and missed the free voucher opportunity for servicenow. It’s still my next cert, just gotta do some extra side hustling to pay for it. It’s 300 USD which is about $410 for me. Should be able to earn that in a weekend.

Comptia got the new beta Cloud+ going for $50. Cant beat that price, might as well cop that stackable while shyt cheap :ehh: might just cop it to do in the fall while I focus on AWS next month
@nawlinsnfinest better be in your dm’s :upsetfavre:
