Fellas. Any way to finesse what you did at the previous job to match more of what you learned from self study? wanna add that i did more devops stuff that i can do with ease just dont want them speaking with the manager and asking about.

They can't really ask what you did at your previous job. Your old job can only confirm that you worked there from x date to x date as an "insert job title here" ...they open themselves up to law suits if they venture too far from those things.

That being said.. labbing and self study is one thing.. putting shyt into production that other people depend on for work is another.. anyone can follow a guide/tutorial and stand some shyt up... what hiring mangers really care about is when it breaks how fast can you get it back up? what's the blast radius? what caused it to break? how do you avoid that in the future?

Get certified on the tech where you mostly self studied. That way it won't ring alarm bells but expect to get heavily quizzed on any item you place on your resume.

If any of y’all want my Sec+ reading materials and notes, just shoot me a pm for a reminder, I got you.

fukked up and missed the free voucher opportunity for servicenow. It’s still my next cert, just gotta do some extra side hustling to pay for it. It’s 300 USD which is about $410 for me. Should be able to earn that in a weekend.

Comptia got the new beta Cloud+ going for $50. Cant beat that price, might as well cop that stackable while shyt cheap :ehh: might just cop it to do in the fall while I focus on AWS next month

keep grinding. practice test are the best way to retain the information you lost during the readings. Gibson got a reading schedule which if you follow it you should be done in 28 days.

don't be like me and let your anxieties get the best of you. you can and will pass. Messer's videos and study groups were integral to my success as well.
