I'm not here for a dikk measuring contest, I literally don't give a fukk about your occupation or your position.

run along child, the attention you need cannot be found online.

:pachaha:

You sound insecure debating someone more educated than you.

So quick to resort to 'immature attacks' like the hypocrite you are.

Why must l chase you all over this thread?

Do terms like ad hominem and strawman confuse you?

You reminded me why engineers look down on programmers lol.

Do NOT let the OP deter you if you're interested in the show.

I watched the pilot & from what I've personally observed; it pretty accurately depicts the life and concerns of 20-something, corporate, black women. It highlighted issues with both sexes quite well. The only thing in the pilot that I haven't seen within my circles is the gainfully employed, college educated woman with the deadbeat, unambitious boyfriend-- but I've seen it discussed here a number of times.

Is it the content or is it the messenger?

I've made it quite clear that I'm not interested in "debating" you.

Your argument is literally "well that mean all women are hoes because rap"

surely you can engineer a better argument but either way, I'm simply not interested.

How many strawman fallacies are you going to pull out of your ass?

I see why you don't direct quote my positions in the debate.

I said your own logic dictates that all women were hoes is valid because of a rapper's p.o.v. and experiences.

It's the same position you defend to say Issa Rae's images of black men is a valid perception in her show.

They both stereotype and present a negative image of the opposite gender.

DAMN YOU ARE STUPID

Yes be we do live in it bro, do we not deserve to be counted as well? Or are we some how unimportant? Or better yet invisible. I belong to a site full of well employed successful black men who are building in the black community. I can link you if you want. We have some on this site too. Do they not exist in the world? Are they not a shade of black that should be counted, brother?

Why do y'all conflate entertainment with real life...??

im gonna make a show with black women as fat, trash weave having, single mothers, crying about their ebt being late and trying to claim other people's kids for income tax

im sure none of you would have a problem with that. thats reality right. its my experience, even though my mother works for apple and my grandmother runs a train station :troll::troll::troll:

now im glad atlanta isnt on hbo. thank god i have something not garbage to watch
The only time that I've seen black women on Atlanta ARE single mothers. One with a bunch of bad kids shooting each other that sh can't control and earns girlfriend who has to work her ass off to take care of a kid that he can't take care of. Oh yeah and the cashier who was billigerent and difficult with earn for no reason.

One with a bunch of bad kids isn't a supporting character. Earn's baby momma isn't a single mother.

The Cashier isn't a supporting character.

No one of us said stereotypes don't exist in media...all characters are stereotypes and tropes, it is how you handle them and how you flesh them out.

I don't see Atlanta as being stereotypical. The characters are actual human beings.

Unless you guys think a black person who's not being an automatic saint is stereotypical.

I think that says more about your shallow insight on blackness.

It's called nuance.
I've been black for 22 years and never shot someone at point blank range or sold dope wtf
