I've been black for 22 years and never shot someone at point blank range or sold dope wtf
maybe you're not as Black as you thought you were.
I've been black for 22 years and never shot someone at point blank range or sold dope wtf
I'm sure you're also not a single mother but just because you exist in the real world doesn't mean you deserve to exist in someone's fictional one. Sad.I've been black for 22 years and never shot someone at point blank range or sold dope wtf
Like I said the only black WOMEN on Atlanta are all stereotypes. Anytime a black woman is seen she fits a stereotype loud, aggressive, belligerent, single mom. The only thing that separates earns girlfriend from an average single mom is now instead of having to take care of just child she has to take care of her baby father and child. They aren't married, they're both single and don't only strictly date one another as stated when she went on a date with a different guy in the first episode. One with a bunch of bad kids isn't a supporting character. Earn's baby momma isn't a single mother.
The Cashier isn't a supporting character.
No one of us said stereotypes don't exist in media...all characters are stereotypes and tropes, it is how you handle them and how you flesh them out.
He specifically said that if black people aren't portrayed as saints then somehow we'd have a problem with the characters but come on there's a longggg way between a dope dealing shooter and average everyday black people like wtfI'm sure you're also not a single mother but just because you exist in the real world doesn't mean you deserve to exist in someone's fictional one. Yes. But if you only see dope dealers that's all that needs to be in the vision. He specifically said that if black people aren't portrayed as saints then somehow we'd have a problem with the characters but come on there's a longggg way between a dope dealing shooter and average everyday black people like wtf
You gotta a link to that video?I'm sorry. It was The Nightly Show. I was thinking of the panel he had on for Nate Parker

Unless he's your lawyer. But black lawyers don't defend black clients.people should tell their stories as they know them, if all you see is dope dealers then I'm not quite sure how you'll be able to fit a Black lawyer into your story considering there are no Black lawyers in your story.

And he straight up called his baby mama an angry black woman at that
On the real, I think you dudes lost this argument. One show may eventually gravitate towards 'black men aint shyt' but the other is actually showing the underlying reasons why 'black men aint shyt'.
Both sides need to be more objective in this whole gender war crap
On the flip side I wonder how Coli brehettes, their male defenders, and black women as a whole would feel if a show came out about an average late 20's black man who can't find anything but classic hoodrats or educated black women looking down on him for not having 3 degrees and a six figure salary.
