So the Black woman experience is...a bunch of lazy nikkas...a bunch of horny nikkas...a bunch of nikkas with good credentials that don't wanna settle down...and then the magical White man waiting on the other side that will love you as you are?

Atlanta shows the exact same type of Black men. And what white man are you talking about?

Atlanta is a very male centric show. But Earn's Baby momma isn't an Angry Baby Momma stereotype.

She isn't no finger in your face, talking all ghetto, hand clapping - baby momma. She's frustrated, strapped, but is supportive.

Instead she is just another Black woman taking care of a grown Black man with a child. Because that's definitely a message you want to send Black women (and men) as acceptable, right? Oh yeah and she's one of four Black women that even exist on that show. After all, we know about the shortage of Black women in the city of Atlanta, so that's not weird at all.

Atlanta's portrayal of Black men isn't negative...but very much grounded in realism. Any brother can relate to the uncertainty of being in your early to mid 20s, trying to make it in life, doing what you wanna do before you get to old and you have to do with you have to do.

Lol if one character as a drug dealer/rapper pushing 40 (or at least looks it in the face), one character as a stoner, one character as a male hoe using women, one character as an underachieving college dropout who can't take care of himself or even his child who made the woman he "loves" a baby mama and not a wife...

if these aren't negative portrayals, you'll have to explain to me in depth what exactly you saw in the Issa Rae show that was so much worse. Oh don't forget to include what the Issa Rae equivalent of the constant use of drugs and guns was.

I would much rather have a Black female dominated show...that didn't focus on Black men and dating so fukking much and be something different.

Lol sure. Its been shown the coli even has a problem with Hidden Figures. Y'all just don't like being reminded that Black women have experiences outside of Black men.

Instead of the typical, "I can't find a man" problem being central to the show.

There's way more to life than finding a damn mate.

shyt I used to watched Girlfriends all the time and there weren't no negative stereotypes of anybody in that show.

If Girlfriends came out today there would be a 20 page thread about how awful it is and how much all Black women are "wenches" who hate the average Black man.

Responses in bold.

As of right now, you've got TWO television shows that I can think of that dont go out of their way to portray black men as interracial dating, thuggish, c00nish losers, unable and unwilling to become successful within society. Survivors Remorse and Black-ish

How does Survivor's Remorse fit that bill?

STFU.

Don't try to shame black men when we call out virulent anti black male black feminsts who are the ENEMIES of black people, both male AND female.

I have made it clear, their is a clear distinction between black women and black feminist : not all black women are black feminist, and not all black feminist are BLACK WOMEN.

YOu watch this shyt because it strokes your bruised and battered ego an puts down who you secretly hate. Yall love to psychologically masturbate to this filth because deep down in your subconscious you have sordid animosity towards black men, even if you date only them or not.

I am exposing a "black" male for his obvious hate and disdain for black women...

Get it right, troll.

Atlanta does not have the same type of nikkas as Being Mary Jane, Insecure or Scandal.

And I am not interested in message based shows...I hate the Cosby Show because it isn't real for majority of Black people. I am not one of these nikkas clamoring to see Black people super successful and having a wonderful fukking life because that's far from real life. Earn having a baby momma isn't a bad thing. It's real life. nikkas fukk around and have kids.

Atlanta shows a certain class of Black males and these are typical experiences for a certain class of people.

And I ain't one of these nikkas that be like "Black women is our women,"

I really don't give a fukk what Black women do as long they leave Black males out of it.

Issa Rae legit created a show centered around her inability to find a man...and her awkwardness...and on some video game shyt, had a White man as the endgame.

Atlanta is show about young Black males trying to make something of their lives.

It's too totally different shows with different levels of humanity for the characters in it.

Just like in Being Mary Jane...the only character that has any sense of humanity and is not a cardboard cut-out of a stereotype is Issa Rae, the main character.

Everybody else she deals with is a straight up stereotype of Black men out Lip Stick Alley.

Have you ever thought its possible, perhaps even likely, that you can't see the levels of humanity when the human in question is a Black woman?

Because sorry, the stereotyping of Black men on Atlanta is far worse than it is on Insecure. You can make whatever points you need to about it being "layered" and "nuanced" to make it easier to swallow, but on an objective level Atlanta checks the Black male stereotype list to an insane degree. Yet you have no problem with it. Even more troubling than the stereotyping in my opinion, is the invisibility/nonexistence of the opposite sex and that also is so pronounced on Atlanta its damn near funny how often this happens on Black male created shows now. It was also an issue on the Boondocks, but I see in your other post thats a favorite of yours as well :mjlol:
