All Star
sounds like pure fukkery. can' wait
Don't we have an entire meme dedicated to not settling down and getting married?
Isn't one of the most commonly spouted lines of dialogue on this board about being a successful black male is that black men have a variety of sexual options and that it's usually a bad idea to settle down?
I think Issa Rae has bedwench tendencies but let's keep it a stack.
You didn't wen bother to address the specific issues that these cats have expressed about the show. You just flippantly dismiss their concerns while discrediting them with ad hominem attacks. You all would do better to just admit you reflexively hate any type of media that centers around the Black female experience. I don't know if its because you don't want Black women identifying with each other without centering Black men because you think thats "feminism", or you all just dislike Black women all together. But the fact that you all are defending Atlanta's portrayal of Black men but have major problems with this says everything.
And that doesn't even mention the fact that none of you care about the portrayals of Black women in Atlanta. You haven't even considered it I'm sure. I've watched 3 episodes of Atlanta, thats over an hour and half of total run time, and I can count the number of Black women who have even spoken on that show on one hand.
STFU.You must suck ass
You didn't hesitate to tear her down and push your anti feminist (which is code for anti Black woman agenda).
Did you even watch the show?
Picsnot anymore she lost a lot of weight
im gonna make a show with black women as fat, trash weave having, single mothers, crying about their ebt being late and trying to claim other people's kids for income tax
im sure none of you would have a problem with that. thats reality right. its my experience, even though my mother works for apple and my grandmother runs a train station
now im glad atlanta isnt on hbo. thank god i have something not garbage to watch

You wanna know what pisses me off about us and shows like this?
Where are the predominantly anglo-programs on TV that touch on their dirt? Where a main character is on or dealing meth?
Maybe got caught up in a "Jared fogle" type situation? Or where the main couple is online looking for a big strong black buck to join their bedroom?
All of these things are pretty commonplace in suburbia, but they won't dare throw these topics out there for the world.
We act like we can't wait to shyt on each other all in the name of "keepin it rill!!"
fukk that. I'm not like any of those dudes on that show, my friends and family yes, but I'm tired of saying that shyt-there are very few brothas on TV that represent me
Atlanta's portrayal of Black men isn't negative...but very much grounded in realism. Any brother can relate to the uncertainty of being in your early to mid 20s, trying to make it in life, doing what you wanna do before you get to old and you have to do with you have to do.
