In a fiery interview that aired Tuesday, Queen Rania of Jordan sat down with veteran journalist Christiane Amanpour and lambasted what she described as the “glaring double standard” in Western mainstream media coverage of the Israel-Gaza war.

“It has been very disappointing to see the double standards in the world today, to see the strong condemnation of what happened on Oct. 7, but very little condemnation of what is happening today,” the Jordanian royal said on Amanpour & Co, in a video interview from the capital city of Amman, Jordan.
“Why isn't there a call for an immediate ceasefire? We are seeing staggering human suffering happening today, so why is the narrative always skewed towards the Israeli side? The Western media and policymakers are quick to adopt the Israeli narratives. When Israel attacks, Palestinians ‘die,’ but when Israelis die, they are ‘killed,’ murdered in cold blood.” Although the 53-year-old queen has long advocated for the rights of the Palestinian people, her interview with Amanpour struck a particularly searing tone not often seen among royals. She called Israel’s bombardment of Gaza “butchery at a mass scale,” and went so far as to criticize U.S. President Joe Biden’s public statements about the Oct. 7 attacks on Israel—even taking aim directly at CNN.

“When the President of the United States is told that he has evidence he has seen evidence of children beheaded, only to retract it because the IDF said that there's no proof of that. That is confirmation bias
. Even at your network Christiane, the CNN website, at the beginning of the conflict reported a headline about Israeli children found butchered in an Israeli kibbutz. And when you read through the story, that’s not hasn’t been independently verified. Now, my question to you is would you publish such a damning yet unverified claim made by a Palestinia—” Advertisement
Amanpour then interjected, “Queen Rania, I just need to stop you right there because there have been pictures shown by the Israelis and our journalists have been down there. I’m not talking about beheadings, I’m talking about babies bodies riddled with bullets,” before changing the subject.
Speaking about the Arab world’s reactions to the airstrikes that have been pummeling Gaza in recent weeks—killing some 5,000 Palestinians, according to the enclave’s health minister—the queen said there was a feeling among many that the Western world is “complicit” in the mass death of civilians. “We are being told that it is wrong to kill a family, an entire family at gunpoint, but it’s okay to shell them to death… . And it is just shocking to the Arab world,” she said, later adding: “This is the first time in modern history that there is such human suffering, and the world is not even calling for a ceasefire. So the silence is deafening.” During the interview, Amanpour warned the queen that she will “come under a lot of criticism from Israel and its supporters” for calling Israel an “apartheid” state. The royal responded: “Let me just emphasize that, that apartheid is a designation that was given not by Arabs, but by Israeli and international human rights organizations.” “This is a 75-year-old story, a story of overwhelming death and displacement to the Palestinian people,” the queen said, referring to the Israeli occupation and the “dehumanization” of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza through “daily indignities and human rights violations.” “There is a hyper fixation on Hamas now, because of what happened the last couple of weeks. But this is a problem that far precedes Hamas, and will continue after Hamas. This is a fight for freedom and for justice.” Noor Ibrahim Managing Editor @bynooribrahimNoor.Ibrahim@thedailybeast.com

The Cave of the Patriarchs massacre, also known as the Ibrahimi Mosque massacre or the Hebron massacre,[1] was a shooting massacre carried out by Baruch Goldstein, an American-Israeli physician and extremist of the far-right ultra-Zionist Kach movement. On 25 February 1994, during the Jewish holiday of Purim, which had overlapped in that year with the Islamic holy month of Ramadan,[2] Goldstein opened fire with an assault rifle on a large gathering of Palestinian Muslims praying in the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron. He killed 29 people, several as young as 12 years, and wounded 125.[3] Goldstein was overpowered and beaten to death by survivors.

Two separate suicide bombings took place in April 1994, carried out by Palestinian militants inside Israel and launched by Hamas' Izzedine al-Qassam Brigades in retaliation for the massacre carried out by Goldstein.[37] A total of 8 Israeli civilians were killed and 55 wounded in the first attack, which took place in Afula on 6 April,[38] at the end of the forty-day mourning period for Goldstein's victims.[39] Six more were killed and 30 injured in Hadera bus station suicide bombing a week later. Those were the first suicide bombings carried out by Palestinian militants inside Israel. According to Matti Steinberg, then Shin Bet head's advisor on Palestinian affairs, Hamas had until then refrained from attacking civilian targets inside Israel, and the change in this policy was a result of Goldstein's massacre.

So really it was a Jewish person who popped off the whole thing of attacking civilians

We didn't care because we were the ones being attacked. I'm sure plenty people around the world protested it. We just didn't give a single fukk if they blew those countries to hell. I remember that time very well. The only time everyone had the same political opinion.
those times social media wasn't what it is today. all you did was turn to the news and heard you were under attack and wanted revenge.

as times changed, you realised iraq wasn't a threat, and you were wasting billions of dollars. this day and age, information flies around at light speed. now we know how the news works. we see it in real time.

Social media wasn't how it is now back then.
It ain't easier to fool people anymore into thinking this shyt cool to do just because.
If they was video like we are receiving back then they would be outrage when it comes to the innocents being killed.
Also folks did feel that way back then on message boards like this but got pushback as someone as un-American.
All because you didn't want to kill the innocent but patriotic didn't care because they all was Muslims.

Yea...it wasn't until the news went to Vietnam and were showing and reporting what was actually going on that turned Americans' opinion on the war. Social media is doing the same thing here.

Its interesting how a lof of democratic people on social media are quick to knee jerk react at Muslim Americans saying they wont be voting for Biden "OH SO YOU THINK THE RIGHT WILL SUPPORT YOU. THE GUY WITH THE MUSLIM BAN!" and they like "Nah we just aint voting for either fukk em":yeshrug:

Its a similar thing with the black vote. We seen a lot of people tired that the democratic party tries to get their vote and do nothing. Rather than do something to adjust, they're so paranoid about the Right gaining traction they'd rather shame disenfranchised voters than do right by them.

Yea...it wasn't until the news went to Vietnam and were showing and reporting what was actually going on that turned Americans' opinion on the war. Social media is doing the same thing here.
And now the news is corrupt. Long lost is respectable and honest journalism. And it aint a left or right thing with the stations covering this genocide, they all got blood on their hands. Propaganda in real time. Its like they pretend we arent watching social media or live streams or something. They just go on with their bull shyt lies and its so blatant.

It truly makes me wonder about past history, even recently. Seeing these bytch mafukkas on every station just sit up there and lie. Seeing the president lie about multiple shyt. Like damn what else yall been lying about?

It’s frustrating, cause my parents are in their mid 70s. They arent on social media, at all. So the only thing they see is the Israel bias on the news. So having a honest discussion with them about whats going on is near impossible because thats all they see. They dont get the option to see the Palestine side, because its never shown on the news. Thats not my parents fault, that falls on the news channels being biased. Theyre supposed to give the info to spread awareness to the public about whats going on.

CNN, Fox, MSN, ABC, they have all failed America
