I get what Zeke is saying, but the logic doesn't work out. Charles Barkley was a superstar. Tony Parker is not.

So Stockton, Barkley and Malone weren't superstars? ABA Dr J wasn't a superstar? Mind you Dr J didn't win his first title until he was past his prime years.
A superstar transcends basketball. Allen Iverson was a super star. people who didn't watch basketball knew who he was.
At the end of the day a "star" player can't win without a team surrounding him. So all of these former NBA players that complained about Lebron going to Miami need to shut the fukk up. A championship team is comprised of more than one player. You need the great owner GM and coach. You have expansion and now a salary cap which makes it harder for teams to build. Making a championship part of the criteria to be considered a super star is dumb.

Didn't Dr. J win ships in the ABA? That definitely counts when you consider he made it to the Finals his first year in the NBA.
Basically what I was about to say. No one can tell me Kevin Durant isn't a superstar. It's probably more debatable with CP3 but even he probably still fits the label.
