Cilvia one of the best rap albums of the 2010s to me, but I didn't like Sun's Tirade. Stunningly disappointing and you can tell the drugs played a major role. It has some great tracks but overall...nah. When you release something as strong as Cilvia I'm always gonna pay attention tho.

This single is dope, and most of the snippets we've heard are dope.

Buddy was damn near slurring on some songs
TDE has its issues with releasing and promoting artists, but Zay came out 2-3 years ago saying Top saved his life, told him he wasn't putting out shyt until he got his life together. The Fader article went into more detail, but it's crazy seeing people still questioning why Zay been on the shelf when he's admitted he has substance abuse issues he needed to handle.

Brenda was definitely a tough listen for me at first. Zay took the slurred delivery a bit too far at times throughout the album, though I thought it went hand-in-hand given the subject matter and production overall. Sun’s Tirade has this unique, faded vibe about it that I really fukk with.

I see why some don’t mess with it like that. Cilvia had depressing rap over upbeat production while Tirade dialed in on depressing rap over more somber joints. It’s tough for sure.

I don't wanna :cape: too tough for him since I know he was really going through some shyt and it wasn't all intentional, but him sounding so drugged out made it feel like a concept album. When that nikka was crying how his weed habit was so close to snortin powder, I felt that shyt so deep because he really sounded like a nikka zooted the fukk out :ohlawd:

I definitely get how it wasn't everybody's cup of tea, but ST is a personal classic right behind CD and if THIB is anywhere close to those two he's going on my personal top 10 all time list :hubie:

Honestly I needed two Duke deuce verses :russ:

Folk brought the energy for real but the hook is catchy as fukk don’t know what Zay was on with that verse though

Maybe it's because I had never heard of Duke before this, but I feel like this song paid homage to that 90's-00's underground era of having that random nikka in the crew lay a verse on the rough cut/throwaway joint who's whole career consists of like 4 features and one mixtape that nobody heard but the whole hood swear by :pachaha:

So Zay was bullshyttin on the verses on purpose to restore the feeling :manny::cape::troll:

Dude be going hard for about 3 - 4 years

he said in an interview he heard Duke sent him the track and Duke knocked his verse out in 10 minutes and he was like what the fukk? {no pun intended)

Duke been going hard

No need for zay to bullshyt cause the OG memphis sound been mainstream shyt suicideboys straight jacked it for the past 5 years

Nobody looks at Isaiah as the 2nd coming of Nas. Or even Kendrick. He's just a dope artist who makes great music. He's not gonna drop crazy bars but he's gonna drop rhymes that'll stay stuck in your head for days. I've prolly bumped cilvia demo more than I've bumped any Kendrick album. Zay's flows and melodies are what set him apart. Even on this song. I thought it was solid at first...nothing special. Now I can't stop reciting the chorus in my head. shyt is hypnotic. Zay wasn't trying to drop the craziest verse. He was just vibing. Song almost sounds like they freestyled the whole shyt. That's what's dope about it.

Zay's music is like that though. It sneaks up on you. You don't realize how dope it is until you can't stop playing it. When it comes to making great songs, Isaiah is one of the best in the game. I'd even say top 5. I'll take his catalog all day over Conway or Freddie Gibbs. Zay is way more versatile.

Songs like this are why I consider Isaiah elite

Yup his music grows on you. I didn’t get into TST until 2017 it just took time. I know CD and TST got different vibes but I love the feel of that album. His music is enjoyable and has high replay value and he is capable of making music for the gym or music for your soul. Dude is talented. I’m cool he switched the flow and cadence on the track, deuce brought the energy.
