I’m from Chicago where we listen to all types of music, I’m very in tune with artists from Tennessee, the first two albums does not have the sound from where he comes from, I’m so confused by what you mean, fam said it sounds forced I was saying he going for a more Memphis/ Tennessee sound

I just hate how "sounding southern" is considered one thing. Nobody is gonna say Do Or Die doesn't sound like Chicago because they don't sound like Common or he's not Chicago because he doesn't sound like Kanye or they're not all midwest because they don't sound like Bone Thugs or Freddie Gibbs. Every other region is given the space to have multiple sounds or even claim other regions' sounds as their own, i.e. NYC Drill music. Zay don't have to sound like Moneybagg or Ball and G or Starlito or whoever to sound southern, he just gotta be the southern nikka that he is :manny:
