He traded for David Lee in 2015

And also it's not like he's been standing pat since then, but either he doesn't want what teams are offering (Obviously today with Ibaka) or they don't want he's offering (Winslow)

Forgot about Lee. :mjlol:

I don't blame Danny. There's no rush to make something happen, if anything at all.

I think Danny learned his lesson from Perk-Green trade.

If there is a trade in the mid-season, it will be a lowkey transaction. Any major moves will be done in the off season.

I am good with no deal happening. Giving away picks or a potential future role player/trade chip like Terry Rozier just to get a guy to maybe win us a 2nd round playoff series is stupid.

Celtics won't be able to just stand pat forever. The team they have now is not good enough. And eventually you're going to have part with some of these players to go to the next level.

Even if you plan on relying 100% on the draft, you're still going have to consolidate assets somehow, or else you end up essentially wasting picks like the last two drafts.

I like Rozier and all, but in this league PGs are a dime a dozen. And even though it's still early in his career, I will be shocked if he ever becomes as good as someone like Ibaka is. Me personally for Rozier and a late 1st I would've pulled the trigger on that with no hesitation. Obviously it's not the end of the world but w/e

Devils advocate but if we add fultz or ball there's really no place for rozier even if Isaiah Bradley or smart get traded

It's very confusing why he wouldn't pull the trigger on that type of deal considering we still have Isaiah Bradley smart and a top pick in a point guard dominated draft

They like Demetrius Jackson a lot too from what I've heard

Exactly. Celtics are gonna have one of the top picks in a PG-heavy draft. Chances are even if they keep the pick and trade Bradley, Rozier's minutes are going to be cut into.

And I completely forgot Jackson was even on the roster

I'm very high on rozier

Funny how 99% of people HATED that pick and now we are talking about not wanting to trade him for Ibaka

He's been better than I thought he would be but I still think we could've traded down and gotten him, and I still don't think he was the best player on the board at the time

When you look back at that draft it really can't be argued that it wasn't a good pick

There's nobody after him that you can make a good argument that should have been picked over him

You could def argue Dekker and a few of the guys taken in the 20s are better than him
