Tyler making 20 mil annually over the next 2 years is proof that the NBA has the dumbest owners

I told nikkas that Whiteside has no trade market value back when cats thought we’d just need to unload this contract :francis:

Him, Johnson, and Dragic got player options on the year then Justise is do for an extension when they finally off the books.

I remember people saying we could move him when needed
A lot of bad contracts were handed out that summer the cap spiked that the owners are regretting. :manny:
  • I live in Atlants and the Hawks are in the same situation we're in with TJ with Kent Bazemore's $18M a year contract.
  • Cavs paying Thristan Thompson and George freakin Hill $18M each til 2021.
  • Clippers paying Galinari $22M until 2021.
Many more all over the league like these.

Bottom line is seems like almost every team has at least 1 to 2 bad contracts they wanna get rid of. I dont think the Heat are willing to take in another bad contract just to get rid of TJ. So that could be WHY they havent been able to move TJ. As for Whiteside...It's his mouth and attitude

Lemongrass, cherries, alkaline water
That hindsight thing. At the time it looked like TJ was primed to become a premier off the bench combo guard, but then he plateaued (despite his ppg going up basically to higher volume)..just not what you expected from a 24-25 year old. But again matching that deal was Micky's call, Riles was ready to let him walk.

So Wade's gone or retiring?

Apparently you can split up the exception so he could still sign for 2.4 mill which would be minimum

I’d rather he just retire than play for scraps. Riley screwed that man over. TJ got the bag instead of wade, imagine that
