Those are new to me! Wow!!!!
Let’s stop engaging these cac trolls to start the new year. They live for the disruption. Bored white b*stardsYou stupid as fck if you believe this..
Doesn't matter if you're right or wrong, nobody cares enough about it to debate. who cares? i just stated in my first post that i don't follow this tradition, never felt the slightest urge to get mad at or disrespect people who do have the tradition. This the type of attitude you bring towards traditions like witch trials, not dinner side dishes
Are you autistic bruh. We know that there isn’t any correlation with these customs and real life outcomes they’re just fun harmless family traditions
jesus christ you're a loser.Wow the stupidity here is astounding. I have no problem with the foods being eaten, just with the mentality that "eating food A leads to superstitious effect B." Enough with that mumbo-jumbo nonsense being kicked in our community. It has to dropped by the wayside. And don't act like people don't still say this dumb sh!t to youngn's this day & age.
There's a whole thread on here today about some astrology mumbo-jumbo and you wanna believe people still aren't buying into this old world stupidity?
Then again when I see how many posters here still believe in the notion of omnipotent sky fairies that judge us and going somewhere after death, I really can't be surprised at all the hurt feelings that get exposed when logic is injected into superstition-based fantasy
Are y’all cooking the black eyed peas with Okra? My uncle made it that way as a child and now it’s the only way I like black eyed peas.
On New Year’s my GrannyGrams always cooks:
Collard Greens & cabbage: for money
Black Eyed Peas : for luck/ prosperity
Cornbread : for a golden/prosperous year
Pork (if you eat it) :good luck (usually in the greens or cabbage)
I wanna keep the tradition going since I can’t visit her this year.
Whew chillle
