Eat food because superstition and fairy tales tells you stuffing your face to gain the components to aid in cellular respiration will somehow someway alter your fate in life brehs
Eating certain foods on certain days because of cultural traditions is one thing, but eating certain foods because they grant you things by some unforseen magic is just another chapter in The Big Book of Stupid Human Tricks. How does an adult brain in this day & age still promote this type of garbage thinking?
Same thing with my family. My maternal Grandma had a lot of New Year's traditions/superstitions she passed on to us.
Soul food on New Year's day.
A man needs to be the first person to enter your home on New Year's for good luck throughout the year.
Don't eat fowl on New Year's day or you'll be scratching yourself throughout the year.
Don't wash clothes on New Year's Day because you will wash someone out of the family.
cac found a way to have something to argue about in this thread. So you believe eating cabbage puts money in your dusty ass pockets?
That eating black eye peas will prevent you from being T-Boned at an intersection if you cross it when a drunk driver simultaneously runs a red light?
Damn right I'm snarky & look down at stupidity being promoted in our community. But then again I'm talking to someone who's made up a life for internet daps.
Grow up you retard.

Oh ok . Didn’t read. Thx for confirming you’re white. Dumb white boy banter bullshyt. This place is a cluster fuk with these troll cacs lately, I swear they are annoying as shyt. We can’t even have a simple discussion about our AA traditions without these cacs always interrupting or intruding. Who the fuk argues back and forth about personal family traditions and connections?? Ignore this faggit ^^^So you believe eating cabbage puts money in your dusty ass pockets?

Doesn't matter if you're right or wrong, nobody cares enough about it to debate. who cares? i just stated in my first post that i don't follow this tradition, never felt the slightest urge to get mad at or disrespect people who do have the tradition. This the type of attitude you bring towards traditions like witch trials, not dinner side dishesTell me how any of my posts are wrong then?
Tell me why it's wrong to want black folk to drop the mumbo-jumbo nonsense now that we live in a society that increasingly rejects sky fairies and magical happenstance?
I'm waiting.
Are you autistic bruh. We know that there isn’t any correlation with these customs and real life outcomes they’re just fun harmless family traditionsIt's wrong to see zero correlation between the food you stuffed your ass with and it granting you some magical gifts?
Wtf are you people smoking???

They always do. Imagine eating white bread, cauliflower and boiled potato with unseasoned undercooked chicken like they do with no variety or specialty dishes- I’d be mad too.cac found a way to have something to argue about in this thread.
