Develops fast enough to where Kevin Durant is never the best player in the NBA? I was watching him the other day & :wow: the league will be his soon. He has Top 10 all-time level potential if you ask me & is off to a great start as far as reaching it. Wouldn't be surprised to see him get near a triple-double w/blocks now that he has Asik & can gamble recklessly

I think it's a discussion worth having

Nah it'll be close but he isn't the scorer durant is an has yet to be tested yet in the playoffs. He'll be right behind him until he makes the playoffs, has a decent run there, or just averages like a kg mvp level of 24 and like 13 or something

Davis aint even the best big yet in the league, thats still Timmy D

The Hornets would have to be a top 5 team in the west this upcoming season for me to even look into this. The kid can play though, I wish he'd trim up the eyebrow but ill let it slide. Hes got crazy potential

So much :what: in this post.

Tim Duncan is not gonna play forever and the Hornets play in Charlotte.

It's not like he's the third best player in the league right now though, he has a few people he would have to leapfrog to get to KD.

Not to mention if Blake Griffin keeps improving, he may end up being looked at as the best player in the league (I doubt it).

Say Bron has another year or two on top. By then, I could see it happening. I don't think it's a reach :yeshrug:

I dont see why not. He's had the same level of production as Durant in his first two seasons. Maybe better.

Durant Rookie Year: 20.3 points on 43% shooting. 3 rebounds. 2 assists. 0.7 blocks TEAM RECORD: 20-62
Davis Rookie Year: 13.5 points on 51% shooting. 8 rebounds 1 assist. 2 blocks TEAM RECORD: 27-55

Durant 2nd Year: 25.3 points on 46% shooting. 2.8 assists 6 rebounds. 0.8 blocks TEAM RECORD::23-59
Davis 2nd Year: 20.8 points on 51% shooting. 1.6 assists. 10 rebounds. 3 blocks. TEAM RECORD : 34-48

It's not THAT far apart. Plus, Durant had the privilege of coming up with Westbrook, Ibaka, and Harden.

I could see AD being the best player in the league by 2020.

Oh, it's not a reach at all. But it's also not like he'd be the only person in the discussion either. And LeBron likely actually has more than a couple of years on top.

But if Derrick Rose gets back to 100%, he'll be coming for that crown. So will Russell Westbrook. So will Blake Griffin.

The problem with pushing the Anthony Davis agenda is the fact that it's pretty premature. Expecting him to be better than Durant within the next two years is extremely hopeful. And don't count DeMarcus Cousins out of coming for that title of best in the league, if he's put in the right position/situation.

I think Davis can be the best in the league honestly. I never understood the hype at UK, then I saw him live up to it last season. Now I've seen him play in person and close up this past weekend and Im sold. All y'all still doubting him don't understand how big he is and skilled he is for his position and hes only 21. :manny:

Then again, he's really another hybrid type player just like durant, basically 7 ft tall but I wouldn't call him a center, or PF. Remember, he used to play PG in highschool.

He has MVP type impact/ability

Are people expecting the Pelicans to make the playoffs this season?
