Is there a more one dimensional actor in Hollywood right now then Jason Straham?

Aight, to be more fair their shyts came out when I was a kid. But really though, even when Statham is the main character, dude just isn't that believable to me as a lead. He's like permanent henchman status to me for some reason. Could it be that Keenan Ivory Wayans sized dome or something?! Just can't root for that guy.

Lundgren was ill in Universal Soldier, Rocky 4, Showdown in Little Tokyo, He-Man.

Van Damme in Universal Soldier, Bloodsport, Kickboxer.

Segal in Mad TV :youngsabo:

:lolbron: Will Sasso's Segal has 10x the Charisma of the real Segal.

How you gon say you cant see Statham as a main character and turn around and name Lundren who in two of the films you mentioned they have him cast as the bad guy? I mean Lundren is cool every now and again, but he was never really a go-to leading man like Sly or Arnold or even Van Damme.

Now Van Damme, I personally think he had charisma which got him by in some of them terrible films like Cybog, Death Warrant, Nowhere To Run and Hard Target. Thats why I would compare Statham to Van Damme the most, cause they both got classics and they both got straight b-movie shyt, but regardless they are always entertaining to watch.

He's kind of like a modern day Van Damme or Seagal in the sense that he's not a great actor, releases subpar B movies usually straight to DVD, but he has a hardcore fanbase that loves him.

These shyts are a guilty pleasure and there is a huge lane for these types of movies to make money...

Plus, if I had to guess he is probably making 7 mil per film which is a nice paycheck for someone with his skillset....

That Crank/Transporter franchise put him over the top....

Forgot about this....He was still somewhat the same type of character he always plays but he showed off his acting chops a lil in this.....

The bank job and 1 other movie.... He plays a detective. It starts off with a fight scene like any other JS movie. But then there isn't another fight the whole movie. Just good detective work.

Other than those two. He's usually some sort of master fighter, who needs to kick and shoot through at least 100 men, in order to come out on top. Every single time.

At least the other actors in here you could name a few movies where they are in a different genre, let alone different set up of events

one dimensional isn't always a bad thing. Sometimes you gotta know your limitations and stick to what your good at

His roles in lock stock revolver and snatch are nothing like the statham who does action movies .even the bank job too . He just has a niche that he fills if you remember he started doing action movies ( transporter) around the time Stallone and them really started to fall off . Vin diesel and the rock dropped the ball at the time so he just kind of picked it up and ran with it

Yup yup. Everything right. Yea that dude killing cops for that long with no problems was far fetched. I was just shocked the whole time that JS never really beat anybody up. It was really on a totally different vibe until.........

He chases the guy on foot. They put on cheesy "crank" music and effects for half a minute. Then back to cop drama movie

Statham actually has a nice lane for himself. Some of his movies are pretty good actually. I'm not mad at him:manny:

Don't tell me anyone here enjoyed Crank :usure:

His movies just appeal to the lowest common denominator.
