He used to be #1 no? My point has to do with younger people not really feeling him since he hasn't had a major media moment since the 80s. Other heroes have filled the void.

Maybe in the 1940's or when the Reeves movie came out but in modern times he's always been 3rd behind Batman and Spidey

Others haven't filled the void or else they would be selling more. Superman is still up there despite not being forced onto people like Batman and Spider-Man are

WW was not hitting. She did not have a movie. The demand was still there for the 1st one.

Meaning, people wanted a WW movie. It was in demand for years. She was an icon.

Batman, Supes all had multiple movies. Even Green Lantern had a movie. The other 1/3 of the trinity, the other icon, WW, didn't even have one. That shouldn't have happened given her status.

Same way Thor had 3 movies and GOTG got 2 movies before Black Panther's debut, despite the demand for Black Panther for years.

Then why did they sit on her for so long? Especially in the era where cartoons were glorified toy catalogs? Why hadn't she had anything going on for almost 2 decades? Where did this supposed demand come from despite no push whatsoever? I mean, I have a thought why wonder woman came about, but I'm curious what you want think.

As far as your Joker question goes. Yea, I can see that. Right now we have the Villains getting major props in movies.

Ledger's joker kind of kicked it off. The Hardys Bane. Then Letos Joker came along and sealed it up.

Even if you cross over to the MCU, look at the love Killmonger and Thanos got and even Loki...

And smaller degrees, look at the boys on prime.

He's still a big draw but Gemini Man just bombed, he just had a cartoon that made only $25M over Christmas weekend. Concussion, despite the hype, only grossed $48M on a $36M budget.

ww is "iconic" same as all the justice league imo, but that doesn't mean all them are as popular as supes. especially on an alltime scale...naw.

Nah look, Batman and Spider-Man are not defined by who the actor is. They've had good actors and bad actors and it never meant much to the overall brand because the brand is the character.

So when someone brings up Iron Man as a new hero on their block... I say "wait and see" because it remains to be seen..

I think they should just lay off the Batman movies for a while. Like, The Joker was conceptually good. They should try to run with the concept they invested in in that movie with a bunch of other ones.
