The first 2 are good enough really.
Most people might not know every single power, or they might know it but not how they got it.
Don't retcons change backgrounds?
Yes, the MCU has hurt Superman's popularity especially with young people.Nah, you said Marvel/MCU changed that for the past 10 years with the movies.
Which doesn't matter because Supes is bigger than a hit movie. WW hadn't been hitting either. She didn't even have a movie of her own, and the demand was still there for the 1st one.
Now, 20,30, or 40+ years down the road of DC dropping the ball with Supes might change his status for newer generations.
Which gets back to the original point of the thread.
The Joker was a smash hit, and most recent hit. But he hasn't surpassed Batman. Not by a long shot.
MCU has had a nice run.
But it is still Superman, WW, Batman, and Spider-Man for iconic characters until further notice.

I mean do you want to point to the movies or not? There was no demand for Captain Marvel and her movie did better than WW's. What's that mean?
Nah, we’re not crediting Will for Aladdin grossing a billy. Will smith was the only known star in aladdin and it went over 1 bill, will has been hit or miss but he's done major boxoffice in the past suicide squad was made bigger by adding will
Yeah, so by the same token WW doing well doesn't mean much either but dude brought it up like it did.It don't mean much. Aquaman did better than Spider-Man and Captain Marvel. It means nothing other than that particular movie for whatever reason more people went to see. It means nothing in terms of long term popularity.

Sorry, you just don't know what you are talking about. Superman can't even crack the top 10.
Uh yeah you did.I didn't.
You said Superman wasn't hitting. Neither was WW. She didn't even have a movie of her own. Yet she was still an icon like Superman.
She was iconic before the movie. There was a demand for her movie because she was iconic.
The movie dropped and did well. Didn't change her status as an icon.
He used to be #1 no? My point has to do with younger people not really feeling him since he hasn't had a major media moment since the 80s. Other heroes have filled the void.Superman was 3rd in 2018 merch sales behind only Batman and Spider-Man
Uh yeah you did.
At least she has some successful media recently with a notable blockbuster coming out soon. What's Superman got since Christopher Reeves? Not a lot. Both attempts to reboot him theatrically failed. He has no movie in the pipeline. He is not in any type of demand.
Nah, you said Marvel/MCU changed that for the past 10 years with the movies.

You say hit movies don't matter and then point out WW had a hit movie. Who is really all over the place? No I didn't.
You keep going all over the place
