Honestly, I think we've overrated the choices in Batman outside of Conroy, Affleck, Kilmer and Keaton.

Box office gross isn't the be all end all of popularity. Superman doesn't have a movie out and still sells more merch than anyone not named Batman/Spider-Man

I wouldn't say Joker is more popular than Bats but he's clearly had more memorable film performances...

Jack, Heath and Joaquin all put on award worthy performances...Joaquin probably about to win Joker his second Oscar...

Bats only had one good memorable film performance and that was Keaton...

Nolan stans love Bale, he was an excellent Bruce Wayne but he was absolute trash in the suit...

I think Afleck would have killed it in a solo film, too bad we never got to see it...
