Kobe shot 3's which boosts his TS%

Duncan did not.:unimpressed:

Reggie Miller has the highest TS% of any Guard for this reason.

Anybody who watched Kobe knows he chucked his ass off breh:unimpressed:

That doesn't make sense bro.

That’s like saying a running back with 1,100 yard rushing and 8 touchdowns is better than a running back with 800 yards rushing, 400 yards receiving and 8 touchdowns with 4 coming from receptions and 4 from rushing. One player gets his one way, the other gets his another way. The points hit the scoreboard the same. Which is what TS% tries to account for. Kobe should rightfully get a boost for making threes. It’s a harder shot than shooting 5 feet away from the basket like Duncan and the points count for more :dahell:

True shooting percentage accounts for free throws and big men are always poor foul shooters. Duncan shot his at 69.6% while Kobe shot his at 83.7%. From the field, you’re looking for effective field goal. Duncan was at .507 while Kobe was at .482. Yes Kobe was a chucker.

Wow that's such a huge difference.

kick and scream all you want

but duncan being a trash at the charity stripe is the worst analytic in all of this
whats worse... chucking over 3 defenders so vujacic doesnt get shots
or missing wide open mid range, gimmie shots as a professional
and no, not all big men miss their free throws...and this doesnt take away from either dude

they do the same shyt with alot of players "his hands are too big to be a great shooter"
then Mike and Kawhi dominate and shoot and its "his large hands give him such an advantage he can manipulate the ball and then go straight into an easy jumpshot"

is it oochie wally or one mic... all that shyt is person to person.

Wow that's such a huge difference.

These dudes were falling over themselves just a few months ago tryna argue that James Harden is a better offensive player than Kobe because of his TS% these past few seasons... now it's "B-b--bu TS% don't count cause Big Men can't shoot free throws!!! :sadbron::sadbron:". Like free throws ain't worth the exact same amount of points as a normal basket and that your efficiency from the stripe isn't a major factor in how efficient of a player you are overall. Or that there aren't other great bigs like Dirk that can shoot from the free throw line just fine without any problem... or that as an ATG big Duncan should've had a much higher base FG% than just over 50 to offset the disparity in TS% between him and a 6'5 guard like Kobe. Not to hate on either player but it's funny how the narratives over these isolated stats without context form around some players and not others :mjpls::sas2:

All fax. None of the TD dikkriders ever wanna address the 2005 finals yet somehow insist on using 2010 against Kobe lol
