grew up on westerns, but mostly on 'spaghetti' westerns
bud spencer and terrence hill were childhood idols of mine.
watched a lot of their western movies growing up!!
:wow:
sergio leone's once upon a time in a west is an all time fave
the pacing of the movie is slow, but the detail and scenery combined with incredible/interesting characters and good story:banderas:

over the top everything - camera angles, characters, musical theme for all the main characters, henry fonda as the bad guy!!!

absolutley love the music in this film!!!!

Yes!

Just rewatched Tombstone recently, and loved it. Saw High Plains Drifter- not the best western I ever saw, but easily the most interesting. The 3:10 to Yuma with Russel Crowe is my favorite- almost perfect, imo.

I've been catching up on these. It's a definite blind spot for me.

Leone's work aside, I've recently watched High Noon, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, The Wild Bunch and Unforgiven

But my all-time favorite is still For A Few Dollars More.....and of course Butch Cassidy, but that's not a traditional western.

my friend and i would get together just to watch that movie series
man, i dolised winnetou.
you know as a kid everything is black and white,no grey areas
winnetou was 'mr. good will triumph over evil'.
:salute:dude always prevailed!!
winnetou dying in the final movie was one of the most traumatising events of my childhood.:sadbron:
i never saw it coming!!
ok,i'm exaggerating but i lost a bit of my innocence that day

p.s marie versini in the first movie:banderas:
i had never seen a more beautiful native american woman in my life at the time!!
