Unforgiven is the best western I've ever seen

For those of you who haven't seen it already you need to watch the series Deadwood that was on HBO back in the day.

Didn't get the recognition of The Wire or the Sopranos but it was just as good as those two.

Great fukking movie

Don't know why Gene Hackman never got cast in more villainous roles, Superman not withstanding. 6'3 ex-marine with chops and screen presence, stole the show IMHO in what was an extremely stacked cast.

Btw, you looking for a nice little modern Western watch Old Henry from a few years ago. Bit more of a b movie than Unforgiven but I can't remember the last time I wanted to pester people to watch a film after seeing it that badly.

good bad ugly the GOAT western, in the top 5 films of all time also
can't get better than this - music and cinematography outstanding, that shyt is from 1966 too let that sink in. Timeless classic

It's a great movie, a classic movie but comparing it to 'Tombstone' is a misstep I'd say. It's not entirely the same genre of film and Val Kilmer still put on an Oscar worthy performance in that.
