I know it's a reach with that conspiracy, but if they won and Wade got MVP, that would have massively damaged his brand. Don't put shyt past anyone. The fact it made zero sense how he played is still confusing to me.
Its not really a reach. We shyt on Kobe for Shaq getting all the Finals MVPs. We shyt on Curry for Iguodala and KD for getting all the Finals MVPs. It's a real argument ppl use when they have to split hairs between who is greater all time. Bron couldn't afford to not be the reason he won his FIRST ring. Call it conspiracy if you want. Lebron behaves in a manner that makes me believe he cares about shyt like that :manny:

23 > 30 and it’s not even close. They aren’t far in age but they kinda played in different but overlapping eras. LeBron was running shyt by the time Curry came into the league plagued by his ankle issues early on. Dude changed the game and became the face of the NBA but he never dominated the league for multiple seasons like LeBron has.
Looooool

Yes apparently going 73-9 isn’t dominating the league.

There was never a period where Lebron dominated the league. He had to create a super team to get passed the Celtics, and then he started another one that only barely managed to get a win on the warriors because of bs.

But the stans see what the stans wanna see. He played in a weaker conference, walked to the finals, and then would be repeatedly stomped by better teams despite claiming he was gonna win “not 5… not 6…” if Steph had done any of that, y’all would never let him live it down.

The warriors genuinely came up through the draft and revolutionized the game, yet people wanna Stan for Lebron because he came out of hs, when his overall impact on strategy and gameplay is negligible and he only won rings after teaming up with already successful players.

People are too quick to forget:

If it wasn’t for two lucky shots by Ray Allen and Kyrie, Lebron would only have 2 rings (and without AD, that goes down to just 1).

But by all means, keep acting like Lebrons top 3 all time :mjlol:

If Steph and the Warriors win their fourth championship this season would Steph impact and era be bigger than Lebron???

I think when it all said and done Steph will be remembered more than Lebron for changing the game and being the greatest shooter ever. He will also have a better finals record as well and could probably win more.

Steph Curry and Klay changed the way the game is played fundamentally.

Yet people still stan Lebron despite his biggest impact being making it acceptable for superstars to create super teams.
Steph doesn't have that two way legacy that Lebron has

Yeah, Draymond's offense is not that good. Klay looks off. His numbers are technically good but even diehard Warriors fans will tell you hasn't looked that good. You're gonna tell me he was playing that well in these last two Dallas games? Or for 5 of the Menphis games?

Wiggins is Wiggins. Great defense, 17 pts on offense.

Poole is awesome.

These are all facts breh :manny:

Curry isn't carrying them. But it isn't some stacked team.

all that offensive efficiency is based on Steph per JJ Redikk, he draws doubles and the Warriors are shooting 60% off those doubles on Steph.

I think all the discussions about LBJ being top 3 are starting to fall off anyway...for a while sports commentators kept force feeding the MJ/LBJ comparisons, but the way things have been looking, those comparisons have stopped. The only milestone that's keeping him alive is the all time scoring record...but his future and playoffs runs are running dry and damaging his legacy

Is this some "hope it into being" shyt or something? :russ:

No one's legacy has ever been impacted by shyt they did at 38-39-40 years old. Shaq was a walking L after 35 with only 1 playoff series win in his final 5 seasons and no one dropped him in the all-time rankings at all. Kobe turned 32 in August 2010 and then proceeded to win just 2 playoff series total in his final 6 seasons.....still was ranked just as high all-time when he retired as he was when he won that 2nd Finals MVP. Bird won his last title at 29. Magic won his last title at 28. Both of them were still (along with Kareem) in the conversation for GOAT when they retired.

No one is expected to look like a GOAT past 35yo. No one is expected to keep carrying inferior teams to amazing performances when they're already been in the league for 15+ years. Anything you do at that point is icing on the cake - unless you get caught cheating or some shyt, you can only add to your legacy. Bron could average 10ppg in the postseason next year and get wiped out 4-1 by his biggest rival (which is what Wilt was doing at 36), and he wouldn't drop a single spot.

Nah, lil ass nikka. They might be tainted for KD, but not for the warriors. KD ran to Steph. Steph already proved he can win without KD

So the rings are tainted for the guy who won Finals MVP but not for the guy who couldn't....you want to pump up the guy who begged a star to join him but not the guy who was being begged for. :laff:

Did you even think about that before you said it?

This is how much this RINGZ!1!!1! shyt has tainted every basketball discussion. Y'all younguns don't even realize that this level of stupidity isn't even as old as you are. You think folk back in the day were saying Havlicek was clearly superior to Jerry West just cause Havlicek had more rings? Why was Oscar Robertson always more highly regarded than Walt Frazier considering that Walt has more titles? Do you think oldheads claimed that Elgin Baylor wasn't half the player Rick Barry was cause RINGZ?

You can't even keep it 100 for your own era - Wade has more rings than Wilt and Hakeem, shouldn't he be ranked higher than them? If MJ's 6 rings prove he is undoubtably superior to LeBron's 4 rings, then don't Russell's 11 shyt all over Kareem's 6?

Ring-counting was manufactured by MJ stans in the 1990s and y'all let it drive your entire fandom to the point where you don't even look like you care about how players play ball anymore, just what narratives you can write about them afterwards.

Universally accepted? Go outside :mjlol:

I was going to quote but, I said why bother? :mjlol: He's not even universally accepted on here. Let alone by everyone else. Time is not gonna be kind to Bron. They trying for dear life to make that "won with three different teams" thing stick because unlike everyone else, he never stuck with one team through adversity to keep winning for a long period. If Curry wins this year, he will make Bron's disappearing act look funny in the light...the Warriors were damn near done and they retooled and came right back.

That team was not getting there ….outside of Boston at that point the east was fairly weak and Bron was a phenom ….the Cavs having that record is misleading to how good of a TEAM they really were…..they had no smoke for Boston and weren’t even close….Boobie Gibson, an old Antwan Jaemison…. Nah they wasn’t gettin anywhere and he’d been there for bout 7 years….c’mon now

Nah, he quit. Jordan's Bulls got no where for seven years too.

The Celtics would've gotten old eventually, and the Cavs would've drafted guys, traded for guys and signed guys eventually. And LeBron would've gotten better, and got into his prime eventually. Who would've stood in the Cavaliers way from 2010 to 2020 in the East. Who? :beli: Boston? They would've been old as fukk by 2012. Detroit? Hell no. Chicago? Rose got injured and wasn't better than Bron. Pacers? Paul George wasn't better than Bron. Toronto? See LeBronto. Miami? Wade would have been ran down and injured by 2012/2013. Bron gave up breh. Had Bron stayed on the Cavs and never left for Miami, they would've been the dominant team in the East the last ten years and he probably would've won 3 rings at minimum in Cleveland. And his career would be ironclad as in nobody would be criticizing him as hard.
