I agree on your first couple paragraphs.

What I mean on the education piece is that liberal arts and social science degrees don't give you a lot of headway in carving out control for economic power.

The stuff about education proving dedication is meaningless of the educatio. You pursue ensures you a job that is know skilled and puts you first in line to be fire when job cuts take place.

If black women are becoming doctors, engineers and scientists. Then you have a point.

But they are becoming those things. I don’t understand where you are getting your information from:

Good point. A lot of black men act as isolated entities.

How do you build strong bonds with other men and worry that they could reveal stuff about you if you fall out.

I've fallen out with a few folks but out of decency I couldn't and wouldn't reveal hurtful things.

This also ties into black men and mental health. I've talked a few times on here of the amount of black men I know who had mental breakdowns. Even more worrying when you look at younger black men just deciding to skip all that and just kill themselves.

Anyway, I did my own research. For 2019 earnings, BW earned 41k and BM earned 45k. BW earned 90% of what BM earned, the highest percentage of any race when broken down by gender. Economic control allows you to lobby politicians to pass laws that are in your favor.

Economic control allows you control industries such as technology and social media either through education of investment into those products

Okay so originally you were talking about the average BW and average BM there’s a 4k discrepancy but among stem degree holders it’s a 12k discrepancy. I thought you were talking average yearly income so that was my misunderstanding.

Among STEM holders,
“Across all racial and ethnic groups, women in STEM earn less than their male counterparts”

Asian men outearn AW by 15k.
White men outearn WW by 24k
Hispanic men outearn HW by 16k
and BM outearn BW by 12k.

All that to say, despite the gender gap across all racial lines, black women have the smallest comparable difference between their male counterparts. Which of course speaks volumes.
