Yeah people mistake entertaining level of a show for quality. Snowfall is very entertaining but the writing is some of the most basic shyt you see on TV. Half the time you can predict how shyt will play out.
One of the biggest gifs is

“he can’t keep getting away with this”

We knew whatever situation Walter got in he was going to get out of it.

so where is the unpredictable BB u are talking about?

You can say that about almost any TV show main protaganist. But you'd be lying if you said some of the ways he saved his ass and others was some well written shyt and I like snowfall much better. But all the writing is surface level as hell. There is nothing that's subtly done that that comes together down the line or something. Its just a straight forward ass linear writing. Jerome deciding to do his own thing at the end was so obvious they were basically screaming it all of the latest season. So when he decided to tell Franklin it wasn't even close to being shocking.

It's the same style of show as breaking bad and the first season was definitely trying to imitate it at points, but nah it's not on its level as a narrative.

Snowfall is in the same league as the other typical 'R' rated dramas.

Its better than most...but the writing and story are silly and predictable.

For example the scene where Hank finds the RV he's been looking for and Jesse/Walt are inside. Then he realizes he cant get in without a warrant. So he post up while he waits for the warrant. That scene has you stuck in suspense because it looks like they dead ass caught. Creating that type of suspense is a product of great writing. Then Walt gets out of it by using the personal info he knows about hank to make him think his wife is in a life threatening accident. Has there ever been a scene during snowfall where it had you on the edge of your seat to how it was going to play out?

when I saw that scene I was just like how Walt gon get out of this. I never expected nothing of it. That’s a cliche type scene. Main character cornered nowhere to go, but luck gets on their side.

I love BB but cmon the writing ain’t Shakespeare.

Did you watch the show while it was airing or after the fact?

Better than Breaking Bad. Doesn't require as much "suspension of disbelief"

This.

Breaking bad was constantly writing itself into corners and abusing the hell out of Deus ex machina to keep the story going. And to add on they never really fleshed out any of their characters outside of Jesse and Walter. Snowfall on the other hand has done a pretty good job in that regards.

I did enjoy breaking bad no doubt but snowfall is definitely the better written show

Breaking bad

2 hitmen crawl all the way from Sinaloa Mexico to Walter white's bedroom and are about to kill him after he gets out the shower. These guys are bad ass and really mean business because they have a code

*Ring ring ring*

The hit gets called off.

Walters brother is 2 feet away from catching him in the act

*Ring ring ring*

He gets a call and had to leave right away because his wife is in the hospital

I think the Cousins thing was corny but I actually liked the episode where Walt pretended Marie was in the hospital to get Hank away, that was exciting IMO
