Is Snowfall on the same level as Breaking Bad

No chance. Writing doesn't compare. Obviously Snowfall has more action, but that's not what Breaking Bad was going for.

Look I like Snowfall I really do but yall gotta relax thinking it can punch with the heavyweights. Damson Idris is a hell of an actor and I really like the characters but the writing is where it falls short and gets way too predictable. Great show but a tier or 2 below BB.

The challenge is that it's trying to mirror real life

If it were 100% fiction then it could take some leaps into borderline absurdity in the coming seasons which would (imo) make it better

But because it's kinda real life we already know the ending and kind of how it plays out

Walter White is tough to compare to since he's not real

Snowfall as big Breaking Bad is in the same tier so far but as other posters said the quality of the ending will really cement the ranking.

BB is in my top 10 shows and Snowfall has made it into my top 10 as well, outside of the Wire being my clear #1, anything else in the top 10 is all GOAT tier, no need for me to split hairs

Yeah people mistake entertaining level of a show for quality. Snowfall is very entertaining but the writing is some of the most basic shyt you see on TV. Half the time you can predict how shyt will play out.
