Take two is the same parent company that made WWE 2K and NBA 2K go to shyt aka micro transaction factories. We shouldn’t be surprised that they’ve been taking the same stance with Rockstar and GTA. It’s frustrating, but it is what it is

"Done for" as in theyre never going to give us fresh, unique, immersive, riveting, trademarked tale telling and one-of-a-kind story driven content?
Yes. Absolutely finished. Forget about it, just accept it. Once Dan Houser and the OG crew said fxck this place and dipped after RDR2, that was the nail in the coffin.
It takes vision, passion and focus to deliver us those great stories that we all know and love. Someone at the top has to see all of this and have a plan to put it all together in attempt to make the player feel a certain way. T2 literally told Houser "yeah we dont need you anymore we have enough money.. that story shyt is a waste of time and resources". Think about that. The vision is long gone
Take two/ new R* does not give a single iota of a fxck about ANY of that shyt. They now have control of a legendary goated platform already so theyre just going to use it for endless recycled get rich quick schemes and moneygrabs because.... they can.
The reason why R* was so unique is because at their core they were a group of brilliant creative minds who loved gaming just as much as we do and wanted to deliver some monumental next level shyt with every project. They were so good at it that they grew into a Titan because of that.
Now that theyre core is gone, theyre literally just any corporation. Maximize profit. That's all.

This is the reason why developers should stay dolo by any means. I understand projects can't get funding, but why not show Sony or Microsoft the work and strike a deal?
