A Villa Straylight.
That Asian chick and poe where done well. And Finn grew. I just don't think ray is a Mary sue. She sucks as character In So much as luke sucked as character
I think Vader had the best ark.
We agree on this. But I think Luke was the closing of his father's Arc.

I thought the debate was about ray being a Mary sue
:dead:
If it was just about her being overpowered in the force l sure why not. But her character does not fit the narrative of a Mary sue.

Superman and Batman now those are Mary sue.
Lara croft in tomb raider.
Explain to me how she's not a Mary sue?

From the definition you posted earlier someone who's essentially good in everything they do.

What exactly are her weaknesses?

He wasn't that injured considering he went to see snokes right after that fight, before going to the med base, and the injury is never mentioned.

And even if he was injured, that was literally her first time picking up a lightsaber. He was stopping blaster bolts in the sky but he couldn't stop this girl that just found out she can use the force?

The entirety of the time they're fighting in the snow you can see him limping, bleeding, and trying to work through the pain of the wound.

And yall are acting like she curbstomped Kylo when in reality he dominated the majority of the fight, it wasn't until Rey full tapped into the force that she was able to beat a severely injured Kylo.

Also you can't ignore the fact that Rey is unusually strong in the force just like Kylo. Luke basically confirmed that in The Last Jedi.

Luke trained her for what, a day?
How long was luke training kylo? Years maybe?

Then snokes trained kylo for a few more years?

And with all these years of training, kylo would have got killed by those red guards if not for Rey the nobody.

And those red guards were trained well enough to damn near cut kylos(a sith lord) head off, but they must not be shyt compared to those junkers Rey fought on jakku cause she washed them nikkas.

Luke received at MOST a months worth of training throughout 3 films before taking on Vader, who was FAR more powerful than Kylo or Snoke.

And she washed Luke too, why did she even need training when she's already stronger than him.
:what:

Seems like Rey should have been training Luke.

Luke had cut himself off from the Force, that's how he was able to hide from Kylo and Snoke. He doesn't tap back into the force until his final confrontation with Kylo.

I'm not sure it matters if Rey is a Mary Sue cause the antagonist isn't worthy of a Mary Sue.

The reason Mary Sues exist is cause the character overcomes all odd when they shouldn't. The First Order and Kylo haven't really proven themselves worthy of being too difficult to overcome.

Vader and the Empire were understood and easy to understand why and how they came to power and maintain it. The First Order and Snoke....eh.

I listed her personal flaws as head strong and self hating. Also I listed her loses but you guys don't think they are loses even though luke experienced the exact same thing.
Luke has the same character flaws and even went through the same shyt with Yoda.

You can keep saying that she only won because kylo was injured, but that argument goes out the window when you consider kylo was not injured fighting those red guards and he would have died had Rey not saved him. Rey didn't even break a sweat beating those same guys kylo was struggling with. That's more than enough to show who's clearly the stronger of the two. You can say it was cause of the training with Luke cause kyle had far more training with Luke.
Luke received at MOST a months worth of training throughout 3 films before taking on Vader, who was FAR more powerful than Kylo or Snoke.
And he got his ass kicked after that measily few months of training (still wayyyyy more training than Rey got)

And even still, Luke is the son of Vader. It's natural for him to be strong with the force. Rey is a nobody, and right off the bat she stronger than luke ever was.

A Villa Straylight.
Maybe before the prequels but once they came out it seems to me the first 6 are rise and redemption of ankin. After that luke came off as only serving his father's ark.
I actually figured that was the redemption of Skywalker clan. Ani started and Luke finished. The force was balanced in Luke who should have been a Gray Jedi.

How is being headstrong a flaw when it has yet to land her in a fukked up situation?

Being headstrong got luke's hand cut off.

Self hating? What does that even mean? :mjlol:

Emotional issues are not real flaws.

Pretty sure a few years take place between empire strikes back and return of the Jedi.

By self hating she knew the truth about her parents selling her but she pretend they were coming back for her.
I would argue her being head strong got han killed. And you are lucky that you don't see emotional issues as flaws that means you have dated well. :wow:
