I think you just have to be careful because racism is so well camouflaged these days. In the sphere of American pop culture and mainstream politics, its played off as almost nonexistent. Some people get so frustrated by that, theyre hesitant to even acknowledge the progress that's been made.

Donald Sterling losing his team has nothing to do with whether or not racism is worse now than ever. The reason he lost his team is because he was caught on tape being racist after one of his powerful racist friends told him his girlfriend was taking pictures with Black people (racism)

Just because people aren't being openly strung up on lampposts and publicly shot, means nothing when these very same people have shifted their methods to more subtle tactics that are just as destructive. It's one thing for a white supremacist to sic a dog on a Black male 50 years ago, now they just deny Black families housing and loans without the violence and leave the Black family to self destruct and become violent to those in close enough proximity.

as Black people gained more rights, white supremacists changed their play books to circumvent those rights ala "stand your ground" and other means they have at their disposal to kill Black people with impunity.

Right there is where you lose your own case. We have more rights in this country than we've ever had. Nobody is denying the fact of institutionalized discrimination, but where is the logic in saying that racism is worse now than ever if we have more rights than we've previously had?

Your Donald Sterling example also loses you your case. In early America you think anyone gave a shyt if blacks were discriminated against? No, white people have to watch what they say now because the public backlash will not be pleasant. How can you say we have it worse now than before? It's a stupid comparison
