It's just weird that state feels a 16 year old isn't old enough to vote, or drink because of limited decision making skills, but it's okay for them to fukk an adult.

I think the responsibility is upon the older individual. There are exceptions to ever rule, but the chances of a 16 year old being able to take care of them self properly is slim, so if they can't take care of them self, how can they take care of the responsibility that might come with unprotected sex?

It's just all irresponsible IMO.

I had a girlfriend tell me her black female PE teacher molest her when she was in the 6th grade. I wouldnt say its a total non issue for Jamaicans, but I find the abhorrence to these act to be much higher than other communities.

I'm late to conversation but judging by some of the comments I must have lived a sheltered life. Because my first knowledge of pedophilia came with that R. Kelly shyt and pretty much all black people I knew looked down on that. I've never considered pedo behavior common in our community. But I don't know everything.

Many people here are only talking about what we know so I dont know much about pedophilia in the black community because Ive never heard about it until recently.

Only thing I saw was older men preying on younger women 13-17 when I was growing up and seeing girls around that age trying to get at older men.

Ive even had to tell a few girls that its wrong and lecture them when they tried to come at me flirting and shyt.

Molestation is a problem that affects all races but I wouldn't define it as a problem that impacts blacks more (like drugs or gangs are).

The only race-related factor I see is the molestation that occurs due to lack of parent involvement. When you got girls growing up in single parent families in the hood and there is a lack of supervision, they are at a higher risk.

I'm a little less sensitive about the teenage girls f**king grown dudes. Yes the guys are in the wrong, but a lot of those girls are chasing older men (many that don't have morals) over guys their age. I'm not going to be sympathetic towards the woman that feels guilty about f**ing a grown ass dope boy 10 years later. I might be wrong for this, but most gay men I ever heard openly talk about being gay usually had some type of sexual abuse in their childhood. My question is how can they say they were born gay when the sexual abuse directly affected them?
