Is Nastradamus Trash or Underrated?

Only really bad songs on this is Quiet nikkas and Big Girl, funny enough, back to back too. Nastradamus beat can be seen as corny by many, only a few like it. Bad sequencing is definitely a driving force behind the ass quality of the album. Random ass intro, skits and outro don’t help either.

Its rushed, unfocused and it SOUNDS like it. Easily Nas’s worst album and coming after I Am a MAJOR disappointment. The sequencing is off.

Even with that its got two all time GREAT Nas songs on it. Life We Chose and the almighty Last Words.

Its also got Nas all time WORST song on it. Big Girl. Which is so bad that as a stan I simply pretend it doesn’t exist.

3.5/5 was the right rating for it then and now. Nas is a supreme writer and song maker so I don’t think he’s even capable of making a worse project than this but as it stands THIS is his worst

It was the timing of it, a big step down from I Am, like Ziggly mentioned, it didn't really have those leave you in awe verses, though "Last Words" and "Life We Chose" came close. It felt a little sanded down and lacking the edge of what we expected from Nas.

I liked it, but I was also 13 years old.

Didn't Columbia tell Nas to put out another album with the leaked songs and Nas decided to record new songs instead? I'm just wondering why this album exists. Even Nasir has a reason to exist because it was Nas' first album in six years (that's almost ten) and it was produced by Kanye. You can just take the good songs off Nastradamus and put them on I Am..., which was already an album that had problems.

This might be the only Nas album that's boring. Really doesn't have much to offer outside of a couple tracks.

I bump the remix version of this album that DOOM did much more
