No

To me he shows the same emotion in every single movie he's in
maybe I'm looking too much into it but I think he's too insecure to make himself look ugly with vulnerable facial expressions.

I'll say he's a passable actor in a safe role. He's good enough to be a star in an oscar winning film but he won't get any nominations. He doesn't show enough nuance in his roles.
But then again Casey Affleck won an oscars....

what? :stopitslime:
his acting was poor in that movie and you know it.
Look at Tom hardy when he played Bane. He changed up his walk, his physical mannerism, his diction and speaking style. Now he's in venom and he's playing another villain and is acting like completely different person.

Look at Charlize Theron when she played the villain in The Fate of The furious, she changed her vocal tone so that she whispered everything and she didn't blink or contort her face in scenes to show she was more menacing.

Michael B was the same person as Wallace, as he was as The Human Torch, as he was in Fruitvale, as he was in Creed, as he was as Killmonger, he just changed costumes. Brought no authenticity or weight to any of the characters, he didnt even make them even feel like characters, there wasn't even a transition.

hollywood just shoving him down our throats and calling it "star power".

It was really jarring how bad he was in BP. That character, origin story, and overall arc was excellent but Jordan just did a shytty job from the delivery of lines to his usual potty face goofy unconvincing scowl.

Fahrenheit 451 was trash. He didn’t have much to work with in that film.

Creed, Fruitvale Station, The Wire, proved him to be a great actor.

Early in BP Killmonger is described as a highly intelligent, elite special operatives soldier capable of overtaking foreign governments.

What we got was an aggy, slick-mouthed, uncultivated juvenile. :mjlol:

He's not. If not for Coogler's movies or the Rocky movies I wouldn't check for him.

I gotta say, im surprised yall keepin it 100 about brehz acting chops. He has never wowed me but i still find him entertaining. The whole angry at the world methodology and constant huffing and puffing is becoming redundant.

Im just mad at idris elba for being a secondary for thor where he couldve been tchalla or killmonger.

Hes good, not great and def not bad.

He was good in Creed and F.S. I liked him as Wallace, and he was damn good in FNL. Personally, I think he acting shines through more in TV Shows (long term viewing) , than it does in Movies (short term movies).

I thought he was great as Killmonger at 1st. But after multiple viewings I think it was a well written character, that he did an above average job in bringing to the big screen.

bytches like him and he is in great shape(so he gets magazine covers) and he is koogler top draft choice(so he gets good movies roles). If it wasnt for that he would not be one of the supposedly top black actors. Like others say in here he just doesn't convey the emotion well enough. His most beleivable and best acted role is still wallace and the whole production team of the wire were MASTERS at getting the best out of young black actors just check season 4. I think killmonger was dry and boring. I also thought his story was written lazily too tho for example kill mong er comes back and make it seem like he killed klaw and tchaka was the one who let him slide. Meanwhile zuri who was undercover with killmonger dad never mentions to the tribe that it was njobu(killmonger dad) who helped klaw set the bomb off that killed those wakandans in the first place. Very lazy plot writing and huge holes. But despite this I still think someone else could have connected the story emotionally better than her did. Least favorite scene is when he goes "just so I could, keeeel eyeeouuu" it makes me cringe.
